It has not been the most productive few months here, and I have already apologized for that multiple times so I won’t bore anyone with it again.

I’ve been in a huge art funk but I’m slowly getting my drive back. I explained earlier in the year that this was a possibility. I will never force myself to make art if I am not feeling it or I’m uncomfortable with it, and for a few months there I was definitely not in the head space to make a lot of pieces. I want my art to be authentic and genuine. This means I won’t make things I absolutely do not feel passionate about and sometimes that passion just isn’t there. I am an autistic person who struggles with mental illness and burnout, so the down time is a requirement. It’s needed now especially since I work full time, that alone takes the drive right out of me.

Luckily, I’ve been feeling more like myself recently and haven been feeling that itch to create again. It could last a few days or a few weeks, there’s never really any telling. But, as of right now, I’m back to making illustrations on the regular. Production will most likely slow down again in the near future because I have some big stuff coming up toward the end of summer. I’ve got some traveling in August and in the first week of September I will be moving out of state approximately 8 hours away. Until then, I will try my best to keep busy and get stuff to yall as fast as possible.

I’m very grateful to have the support I do here. The money I’ve made off Patreon has literally helped me pay bills and feed myself when money from my job wasn’t enough. It’s kept me fed and on top of my finances and for that I am for grateful.

Love and appreciate you all so so much! 💕

As a fellow autistic, I know the struggles. Take care of yourself, don't listen to the voice in your head that try to making you feel guilty and take as much time as you need for yourself! Have a nice day 🫂💜

Thank you! I am unfortunately a perfectionist and will beat myself up for not being over productive. It makes me feel guilty when I can’t make things ESPECIALLY when I have people paying for it. I can’t make myself work when I’m not in the right place for it though. That makes for poor quality and soulless works and I’m not about that. I just have to work with my needs as an AuADHD person and be kind to myself, as best I can! 💜
