Video Assembly Guide and Product Overview

Introducing my take on a classic Pokémon Deck Box; the first of many themed Deck Boxes intended to securely, but stylishly, hold all of your needed cards.

This will be a new line of designs that will expand to include all of your favorite types of Poké Balls.

This design is apart of the Board Game Accessories contest on MakerWorld and free to all to access.

Similar to my previous contest entries, even if you do not wish to print, sell, or use this design, it would be greatly appreciated if you could like and download the model.

This only helps me increase exposure to a wider audience, grow our community even larger, and continue to bring great exclusive designs to y'all here.

Features:

Compact Design

This box is designed to be as small and compact as possible, while still holding the required amount of cards for a full deck of Pokémon card.

60+ Double Sleeved Cards

This box is intended, and has been tested, for use with 60 double-sleeved cards. The exact sleeves I use are Dragon Shield's Sealable Inner Sleeves, inside Ultra Pro Penny Sleeves.

Secure Lid with Functioning Button!

The tolerances on the top assembly have been tweaked several times to ensure a tight fit, that will not come off accidentally, but also can be easily opened when wanted.

The Button and box function just as you would expect and like an actual Poké Ball! Simply push the button in and tilt the lid open or closed.

No Additional Parts Needed!

It was crucial that this design required no parts other than what you can print. There is no need for glue, magnets, or anything else and this box can be assembled right off your print bed.

Modular Design

Each piece 3D printed and modular. In the event a piece gets damaged or breaks, the entire design can be disassembled and the single broken piece can be printed by itself and replaced.

This also allows easy customization between the different Poké Ball designs. Simply print your favorite Poké Ball and swap out the top piece. You can even keep extras around to swap depending on your deck or mood!

Recommended Settings:

Wall count increased to 3

Infill reduced to 10% and changed to Cross Hatch, for all pieces except the Latch

Latch infill set to 100% for most strength

No brims or supports needed

Great product, but is it just me, or would the deck box orientation make more sense the other way around? It seems like the button and latch should stay on the bottom portion holding the deck, while the single top piece comes off to access the cards. That feels more intuitive and less awkward than having the top be the heavier, loaded part of the box.
