I'm going to be upfront and say this is probably my worst reaction of all time lol. I just couldn't connect with it. I might give it another listen over the weekend. Let me know what you think about the album.

hahah I can see this coming, as I said in another comment, since Solar Power she has been making songs with very intimate lyrics. From what I read around, she wrote this album talking about her femininity and masculinity, gender identity and even eating disorders, so these are very personal things about her, how she sees herself and feels, I'm sure many people out there will be familiar with this, but like you I also didn't connect with the songs and I think that's okay!!!

I think you should react to melodrama, it’s her highest rated album. I think it’s easier to understand. Lorde is a daughter of a famous poet so her lyrics will definitely be EXTREMELY difficult to understand, you never really know what’s she’s talking about but you know she’s talking about some real shit.

I think it's really important to remember that not everybody is going to connect with everything and that's okay. I think sometimes people expect reactors to only be positive about the things y'all listen to but you're also a human and that means there are going to be projects that just don't hit for you.

Brandon

I haven’t connected to her music recently either. I want to love it, but I unfortunately haven’t.

I can't lie, the way you feel about this album is how I feel towards some of her other work. This is actually up there for me with one of my favorite albums from her. I think it's very important to see you react to this in such an honest way though. I feel some reactors would react and say they love it, even if they dont just to not get hate from their fans but you dont. You're very open and honest and it's very nice to see In a reactor 🥰😍

melodrama was such a masterpiece i feel so bad she hasn’t been making music that we can connect to like that. i feel like she feels the pressure too especially since solar power but yeah this album is just not for meee
