lol omg!! I think this was pre-Easter eggs 😂😂 Love this reaction!! As someone who came from an unstable home with parents that stayed together even though they couldn’t stand each other, totally get the triggering but that’s also why I really really love this music video. I was in hs when this video came out and I felt seen with those scenes and she gave me hope too.

Juke just in case you didn’t know. Her parents aren’t together anymore. They are just so good parents that they’ve remained friends with grace. I love her vocal improvements from fearless to speak now, its the biggest leap i think, after that she just matured her voice and perfected it more but in speak now she was so so good! ”Stop kissing!” 😂😂 juke so jelly hahah

taylors parents actually are divorced, but you wouldnt really know it bc of how close the family is and how supportive they are of their daughter. i dont know if the themes in "mine" are personal or about that.. but taylor definitely does write about her real life experiences especially in this album. I dont wanna speculate too much bc clearly they are close friends and were coparents for a long time but i can see there being an adjustment period around that time. either way, i love that even though she was so young, she was able to portray how childhood trauma can affect relationships later in life. another reason why she is so relatable and connects with so many people and perfectly capture the experiences so many of us have. also, i love how all of the song "mine" is her picturing being with this person and getting married and having kids from just one glance at a restaurant, seeing their whole life in the hanging pictures in the woods. and ending the video with "i can see it-yeah yeah-I can see it now..." as it cuts back to that moment. an understated video with a beautiful message

Private proposal all the way 🙌🏼 Although that’s very much the norm here in England anyway! Loved the reaction as always! As someone who grew up in a separated home and feeling the effects of that, it was a really hard decision to then become a single mum myself. It’s never easy but if either of my boys grow up to have even half the emotional maturity you do then I know I will have done a good job 🥰

Another parallel lyric I've noticed for "careless man's careful daughter" is "dutiful daughter, all my plans were laid" so I guess we can say she is quite... careful? Especially that everything she does is planned and doesn't even deny being cryptic about it. Hence, the easter eggs. 😆

100% private proposal for me, I hate being the center of attention…I get so embarrassed so in public (even family) would have ruined it for me. Luckily my husband knew that and planned it perfectly to fit my personality. But I think it all depends on the person…the person proposing hopefully knows exactly what their partner would love.

I’m part of a church that doesn’t “approve” of Divorce. I dated my ex for 2 1/2 years before getting married. I was a young 20 year old, I thought I would be with him forever. His whole personality changed though once we were engaged. He was emotionally abusive and I didn’t see how demeaning, rude, and manipulative he was until a year into our marriage. I came home and he had a gun, said if I was to leave this house without letting him know he would hurt himself. I served him with divorce papers the next day not caring what anyone else thought. I’m 24 now and have great friends but at times afraid to get serious with anyone because I don’t want to get hurt again.

100% private proposal for me. Even if I’m confident in knowing I want to marry that person I feel like public proposals add another layer of pressure and I hate being the center of attention so I think I’d just feel very overwhelmed lol. I also feel like there’s something really special about having it be a private moment between you and your person. Celebrating with others can happen after lol

100% understand you. I come from divorce and my dad just wasn't there but when he was I had to be perfect for him. My mom was a saint and loved us but passed in 2016. My dad is a good person but not a great dad. I really connected with this song when it came out. It's still one of my favorites.

Not many easter eggs at all in this vid, so ur good! Also, Taylor's parents are divorced btw. They divorced literally in the Speak Now era, during this time! But it was kept pretty quiet as far as I know. 🤍
