Paramore opened for taylor during the europe leg of the eras tour, which means i got to hear both of them on the same night, it was a blessing and i was in heaven. They have been friends since they were young, castles crumbling is a vault track so it came out in 2023 but have known each other a long time. Such an amazing performance by both of them

im sad you missed it in this video i guess you paused in a bad spot haha, but at the end taylor gets so shocked and has a cute reaction about hayley refrencing the speak now tour with her dress and the writing down her arm. youll see during the speak now tour but tay used to write lyrics of songs that corresponded to how she was feeling that night as if it was some kind of mood ring. thats why she says "memories!" at the end here. also from my understanding their parents introduced the two of them because they were young and didnt have friends in the industry. I love their friendship and how a lot of speak now is inspired by hayley and paramore and the fact that taylor chose to bring her onto a song so personal and emotional that 98% prob never was intended to have a feature back in 2010 for the taylors version is so heartwarming. and it was so cute to see taylors reaction to seeing the hayleys purple dress and arm writing tribute to the lengendary and nostalgic Speak Now tour.

This was such a wholesome surprise song moment, glad you reacted to it Juke! Their voices mesh SO WELL together and I love how they are still such good freinds to this day. A detail you have missed because you haven't seen the Speak Now tour yet: Hayley wore a purple dress here and had lyrics written on her arm, which is one of Taylor's Speak Now tour looks! So wholesome 💜 And yes as Isabella said, us Europeans were blessed to have Paramore as the opener on the Eras Tour!! Let me just say my inner teenager was having the time of her life at that show!!! 🫶🏻

I love Taylor and Hayley’s long-term friendship so much!!! Paramore opened for Taylor all last summer and it must’ve been comforting for each of them to have their friend nearby during their European adventure. Their vocals blend beautifully. Also, thank you for not liking that messy comment, it was truly an unfounded statement and Hayley wouldn’t have approved of it. I’m loving the Speak Now reactions and I know you’ll love every single era going forward as well! Aaww I love their friendship and the way you appreciate female artists and don't put them against each other! Gosh the sad thing with this song is that she wrote it after the VMAs of 2009, but it will be SO relevant for her in 2016, again because of Kanye (and Kim) and the doctored recording 😥 it sounds like it could be on Folklore/Evermore/TTPD and it would fit thematically and sonically.

Mama Swift is the one who got these two together. In 2008, both Taylor and Hayley were nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys, and they found themselves at Timbaland’s Grammy party that year. At that event, Andrea Swift approached Hayley and said something like: “I’m Taylor Swift’s mom… Taylor doesn’t have a lot of friends her age that do music. I would love to… introduce you guys or get your number.” They have been friends ever since.
