Just started but I don't think I've ever heard her say "Um" so much. lol she definitely worked on that and it's strange to hear from her now.

I’ve never watched this interview before. I’ve seen a clip of where she talks about the guy saying “you’re not gonna write about this, are you?” But I never knew where it was from. She’s such an adorable person. I’m so excited to watch you get into Red after this era because that’s when I became a swiftie.

Loved this! I think there is a radical-ness to Taylor's songs about her relationships post breakup which really contributes to why women celebrate it and why the misogynists hate it so much. For so long men controlled the narrative post breakup that his ex was "crazy" or it wasn't serious and she got too attached, or for whatever reason it was always her fault when behind closed doors he was lying to her and gaslighting her the whole relationship. It was kinda an unspoken thing that it's not "lady-like" to talk about ur ex. Which allowed men to get away with treating their gfs like crap and never having to be held accountable. It also allowed him to go do it to the next girl without her having a warning. It's why misogynists belittle "gossip" so much, they don't want us sharing information that can protect us from them. Taylor taking the narrative back and telling the truth about what really happened was really radical at that time (and still is). She never writes anything mean about ppl who didn't truly do her wrong. Anyway, I think that's why so many women relate so strongly like yes, I am allowed to talk about what they did to me and I am allowed to be angry and sad about it.

The fact that you sang “Applause” when Taylor talked about loving the sound of screaming fans 🥳 Fun fact: Taylor put that specific song on the preshow playlist on the Eras Tour, as the second to last song before the show started - and let me tell you, the moment that song came on everyone knew it was almost time for the show to start. People were excited and singing and clapping and it was honestly just as memorable a moment as the concert itself. I will never forget that moment, and it changed that song for me forever. It will always bring me back to the Eras tour 👏🏼🥳🤩

Its so funny to me you sang "Applause", do you know it was played on Taylors playlist on THE ERAS TOUR right before the show started?

Her outfit is an Easter egg to her general clothing style during the upcoming Red era (clothes are her favorite Easter eggs). She says it was a period where she dressed like a 1950’s housewife but just because she thought the clothes were cute (not because she wanted to be a 1950’s housewife lol). About her full switch to pop, you’ve said some of her Speak Now songs sound pop (w/ a dash of rock every once in a while) and some a bit more country. Be ready for this to be more-so the case with Red! It’s a fantastic album you have ahead of you btw (all the rest are so great). During the 1989 era you’ll see an amazing talk she gives at the Grammy museum where she describes in detail how she thought Speak Now and Red weren’t sonically cohesive, so that led to her decision to go full pop for 1989 (if you google the term “pop bible”, 1989 is its definition - it’s just a damn masterpiece). Red will have some FANTASTIC pop songs on it which were also very commercially successful, and that showed where her future was headed. The lore is that the first big downbeat of “I Knew You Were Trouble” on Red signified the death of her country career. 💁🏼‍♀️ Of course, that’s not completely true (but it’s a fun lore lol) because obviously she still sometimes still has country influences in her songs, such as “But Daddy I Love Him” most recently.

You mentioned Red, and I got so excited. That's one of my favorite albums. Not that I can ever choose between Taylor albums. They're my babies. It's like Sophie's Choice. Haha but I'm very attached to that one. And it has my fave song (which is also Taylor's magnum opus). So excited for you to get there, but eep I'm still loving all the amazing Speak Now reactions! I'd never seen this interview in full. Just snippets. So this was really cool! Thanks for sharing it and for your always kind spirit! I am so jazzed about getting closer to your Speak Now tour reaction! You are going to LOVE every Taylor tour! Eep! Have a wonderful day my friend! 💜💜

Please when you react to Red. React to the original deluxe and then the vault tracks on the Taylor’s Version. Because many songs on Red are so much better in their original versions.

It blows my mind that this little lady wrote Red, the album.

I had never seen this! Great find!!
