i am so so glad for the judges bias because losing megan wouldve killed me its the only thing that saved her

Chireny de Groot

Yay! Also pls react to adela her songs after this. She also will release her first EP on the 21th of august, but I recommend to start at the beginning of her discography!

Yesss, the missions next!! Also, the performances that you saw in this episode are not considered missions, they were all presented in the live finale. But it would be great if you could also watch them: The Debut: Dream Academy - "Girls Don't Like", The Debut: Dream Academy - "Dirty Water", [HYBE x Geffen] Dream Academy - Bonus Performance "Break Free", The Debut: Dream Academy - "All The Same"."

Another major reason for their success and influence is their personalities! You should definitely watch some of the funny compilations of them. I would recommend: 'Katseye having ZERO filters recently', 'katseye having ZERO media training (besides yoonchae)', 'katseye FIGHTING each other (NO FILTER) *too much violence*', and 'katseye's WILDEST moments of this era' I love how open they are. I know they are not considered K-pop, but they are under HYBE (a K-pop label) and often promote in Korea alongside other K-pop acts. Usually in K-pop, idols have to be extra careful with cursing or making certain comments, since they can easily be misinterpreted. Even the fact that two of the members (Lara and Megan) are openly queer and often embrace it, and that all the members support them and even make light-hearted jokes about it, is refreshing to see. The group’s diversity is also amazing: they often teach each other their languages, share food, and exchange cultural experiences. It’s truly refreshing!

1 you should really check out their "time lapse" performance not many know about it and 2 in the full live finale they interview the girls after they dont make it and ezrela's maturity and composed speech makes one have more respect for her

Mo

Thank you for dropping these so consistently! We appreciate it. What a journey. Love all of the girls and I’m so happy for them 🥹

Celeste talked about this last year in a TikTok, saying how they were all stressing through the competition, how there was clearly favoritism going around and how she was one of the least favorites by the executives. She explained that she reached a breaking point because she didn’t feel valued by the company, and when they were first introduced to the public she already felt anxious, since it was obvious the executives favored certain girls over others. She also said the company made her take several injections in her neck — something they conveniently left out of the documentary... she revealed that the company’s psychologist, who was supposed to “help” them with stress, could actually report everything back to the higher-ups. Celeste admitted she made the “mistake” of opening up more than she should have, sharing her doubts and struggles with the therapist and also to some staff members who acted supportive, only for the company to use her words against her. That basically gave them a “reason” to eliminate her, and the documentary didn’t even explain why she was cut in round 3. It’s so sad because she was VERY well positioned in the ranks , she’s from my country and I really wanted her to debut, anyways, she ended up deleting the TikTok, and days later replied to a comment saying the company had reached out to her to delete it and all her Dream Academy content from her Instagram (coming from HYBE, of course—they probably threatened legal action). Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if the same thing happened to Nayoung since she didn't even acknowledge her participation in the show and her journey in dream academy.

the way that HYBE x Geffen had the perfect opportunity to bag not one but two (possibly even three with some of the previously eliminated girls) girl groups but they fumbled so bad. I love all six of these girls so much and they literally formed the perfect girl group, the growth we've seen in them in the last year alone is (new)crazy! I hope you'll react to ADELA's music cause I've just recently gotten into her, you can wait til Friday the 22nd until her debut EP "The Provocateur" is out but she also has four visuals "HOMEWRECKED (the dance performance video)", "SUPERSCAR", "MACHINE GIRL" and "DeathByDevotion" plus she's also dropping another video alongside the EP for "SexOnTheBeat"!

Its easy to say when you know you won't see the alternative, but I genuinely think this is the best possible outcome for KATSEYE. The six we have are the six that were meant to debut together, in my opinion. I'm so glad the judges came through for Megan, cos it seems like without that that there was a genuine chance she wouldn't have made it (which is just insane to me like what r the fans doing). I've never seen the show before but have taken a real shine to Ezrela. She just seems like such a ray of sunshine and she should be so proud of how well she carried herself here. Even in a heavily edited Netflix show she can't come across as anything other than an absolute sweetheart. I don't know if she's still planning to pursue a career in performing, but if so I'll definitely follow her journey

I find it kinda funny that Yoonchae ended up making the group despite not being expressly singled out by the judges, not coming up in the fan vote and generally not being shown much on the show it seems like. Like did my girl just ghost into KATSEYE or smthn 😅

Defo check out Timelapse by katseye

It was actually Lara's idea to change the c into a k for Katseye. She ATE with that!!
