I feel like antigfragile teams truly had it harder because its suchhh a hard song like I feel like truly only le sserafilm can perfect it cus it fits their tones and voices and also fearless teams had their vocals pre recorded due to the videos being recorded outside

the first vocal performance is a terrible mashup in my opinion, with a really odd mix of vocals. the harmonies in general sound a little flat and we have a mix of more powerful vocals with iliya and karlee and then softer vocals with lexie and manon, which tonally sounds off. we saw so little or brooklyn in the documentary, that i didn't realise she was a weaker vocalist - at points she sings flat (singing lower than the intended notes aka off-key) and she doesn't enunciate properly in the chorus. karlee is also using too much head voice which makes her sound less powerful and also a little flat at points. manon is nervous and it shows - it was an earlier performance so makes sense, she really shines in later challenges. the execs set them up to fail with that challenge tbh. i also agree that celeste doesn't sound as solid in the buttons performance - i don't think her voice is mature enough for that kind of song and it's probably why did she didn't end up in the group, because her voice isn't as versatile has the others. i also believe samara is so talented and has some similarities with manon both looks and personality wise (sweet and somewhat reserved personalities, but eye-catching performers - and obviously that's just based on what we saw of them on the show). if all the stuff hadn't come out about samara (racist against indian and chinese people (ew two are literally in the final lineup) amongst other things), i honestly believe she would have made it into the group. i know you said you wanted to react without considering that, which i understand, but i genuinely believe that it influenced their decision, because they wanted this group to be a group that younger girls look up to (and likely progressive in their views), with a good reputation. i love the final line up and believe manon absolutely deserved to be in it by the end, but i think maybe that had samara in mind as well - just my thoughts :) thanks so much for your great reactions, juke! super excited for what's next for katseye!

i truly hope nayoung gets the career she deserves. she lost this opportunity over a comment & when she won the other survival show the group's debut got cancelled its very sad

I love how much you’re enjoying Megan in this series and in the missions! She’s my absolute favorite but I learned about Katseye through the doc so saw her growth and personality. I feel like she’s doesn’t get enough love from fans! Underrated.

I 100% agree with you on your take about Karlee. Her voice in the documentary, when they showed her when she was picked as one of the people to sing in the recording studio was so powerful and yes SOULFUL. I have heard however that during mission two she had the flu, hence why she sounded a little flat and struggled to sound fluent in tone and consistent whilst dancing at the same time. I did really like her as a contestant tho and she was a great speaker on the documentary. Props to her.
