when pop star academy dropped, adéla was faced with backlash and called a “mean girl” while expressing her concern and frustration with manon for skipping classes. basically, “machine girl” is jabbing back at executives, editors, mentors, pretty much anyone that made the decision to make her look like the bad guy for the sake of views and ratings. she has stated in multiple interviews that her and the rest of the katseye girls have no beef at all!

Adela till this day gets a lot of backlash for the manon thing, I like all the girls so it’s rlly unfortunate to see people act purposefully dense just to spread hate, Adela has been seen with the katseye girls so many times hanging out she was even in the crowd watching their lollapalooza performance and cheering them on with Emily…crazy how it’s been so long and ppl r still hung up on that when the girls themselves don’t care lol

I have to thank you because I genuinely got into her music when re-watching Dream Academy through you cuz you kept mentioning how you have to get into it once you're done with the show. and I have to say that it's so commendable of her as a newer, foreign artist that just got signed to a major label to be addressing all these topics on her debut EP about how the industry basically chews and spits out people once they deem them as useless or like their prime passed. I genuinely hope she gets a full support from Capitol and keeps pushing and give us a debut album next year!!
