I love this one and im so happy you loved it too! There is just something about the mix of performances and Taylors behind the scenes thats so amazing. The Haunted performance lives rent free in my head. That esthetic had me crazy as a teen (now too honestly haha) Taylor is my inspiration, and im not even kidding and it might sound cheesy but im so freaking happy for her and travis. Like i grew up with her, i’ve seen all the things she does and she takes her hardships and makes it all okay again. That has always been something i go back to when i feel down. And seeing her having and losing love so many times, yet staying hopeful that someday it will happens. That inspires me to also believe that things you want can happen. And seeing her having that now is just amazing! And yes on varients speech! Not only does other do it now but it has been done forever. I remember my aunt having like 4 different vinyl varients of one Micheal Jackson album. Its for collectors or for you to chose from. And taylor has consistently, even with streaming taking over, sold millions of copies the first week and there is a reason the swifties want those at home and not just on streaming. For those that don’t know Taylor actually pulled ALL her music from streaming like 10-15 years ago (can’t remember exactly when, time flies). Because she wanted better deals for artists. It was off for some time but she did get the contracts to better for all (not as good as it should be but better than it was) and not until then did she put up her music again. So yeah, swifties wanna own that shit 😅 Can’t wait for the tour now, now THAT is gonna be the first real taylor show for you and she puts so much into them (even back then) You’re gonna love it💜

This also reminded me that I need to add Rep to vinyl collection, I only have it on cd from when it first came out because I wasn’t into vinyl at the time

I love what you said about her billionaire status and the album variants! The way her haters compare her to the Elon Musks of the world when she became a billionaire purely from her music and her tour. She didn't get rich off the backs of oppressed people like the majority of billionaires. That's a HUGE distinction to make. We also see time and again how well she treats the people who work for her. She gives massive bonuses to her band, dancers, backup singers, truck drivers, etc. And in terms of the album variants: no one is required to buy them. But people choose to do so. She's not forcing anything on anyone. I think it's fun that people can choose options they want to spend their money on or if they can do all of them, more power to them! They're like collector items! And as you said, they have unique artwork too. People find literally ANY excuse to bash Taylor, and it's always completely lacking common sense and nuance. 🙄 But anywho, thank you again for pointing that out and for spreading your joy and positive energy! 💜💜

We love our engaged queen!!!! ❤️‍🔥 As I’m watching this I’m seeing her and Travis on my tv screen at the Cincinnati/Nebraska game - their debut as an engaged couple! Thank you so much for this reaction, I’ve only seen this special one or two times and it was fun watching it again with you. The way Taylor lives her life and the way she earned her money (pure artistic creativity + hard work) makes her someone who should not be criticized for selling her art as she sees fit. First of all, every single variant cover is absolutely stunning - what a treat for fans (I bought two but also LOVED seeing the covers I didn’t buy). Second, art is important. It’s what makes life worth living because it connects us as human beings. And Taylor is certainly a top tier artist who people strongly connect their experiences to (like they said in the video, she’s literally providing therapy to millions). Therefore, I find it refreshing she is capable of becoming a billionaire by making beautiful art as opposed to how we know some corrupt billionaires make their money. And my message for those online whining about her selling variants - if you’re posting about Taylor on social media saying “eat the rich” please know that you too are a capitalist because you paid for a device that lets you post your weak opinions. Which absolutely contributes to capitalism. Loved your point, Danny, about how physical media may become important as streaming services could be controlled by our increasingly authoritarian regime.
