Taylor Swift - Red TV (VAULT TRACKS) FIRST TIME REACTION

Comments

Isabella Peterson

Yay! So fast Juke! Your document is updated btw! ❤️ the order should be correct now, interview included! let me know if you can see it

ray

you should definitely check out her “in conversation with” tiff 2022, she talks about all too well in depth there!! as well as her 2021 seth meyers interview❤️❤️

Lindsey T

The one note I’ll make is to make sure you listen to the song before you watch the short film. People tend to miss important lyrics when they react to only the short film or the short film first. 💙

s

please do a dive into phoebe bridgers’ discography!!! also the band/supergroup she’s in is ‘boygenius’ (made up of her, lucy dacus and julien baker who also make awesome solo music!) and she’s in another band with conor oberst (of bright eyes) ‘better oblivion community centre’!

Ashley Huff

The original version of "Babe" is by Sugarland and features Taylor Swift and she helped write the song. She is in the music video with Sugarland and you should watch it! I also really love the Sugarland version of the song

Liam Mcfarlane

Some good interviews about All Too Well in order of length of the interviews so you can pick and choose which you're into 😁 Graham Norton (3m) - This one's pretty brief and more about the short film than the song but still good - https://youtu.be/MwNdxjnwr1A?si=ORRqqsIPDUTql1gM The Tonight Show (9m 30s) - This one's a full interview with timestamps so you can just skip to the ATW part if you want but it explains more about how the 10 minute version came about - https://youtu.be/0Kr4JO9591c?si=WYtHT01eJPbgzHzD Late Night with Seth Meyers (14m) - This one's another full interview about how the release week for TV was much more relaxed than the release for the original album, the part about ATW starts about 10 minutes in if you wanted to skip forward - https://youtu.be/DYIOaifhjQU?si=R5nU-TJrTlBSLhbz TIFF (56m) - This is a long one that goes quite in depth on her process for making the short film, really interesting watch but can understand if you don't pick it due to time constraints - https://youtu.be/1lbg54tnj_g?si=9LU1QD6xs-_uWJzy

also not sure if better man live at bluebird cafe is on ur list but her vocal performance is amazing there!!

Lindsey T

Just a note on forever winter: she wrote this after her good friend passed away. He was depressed and died of a drug overdose. It’s a beautiful tribute to him.

Isabella Peterson

LOVED this Juke🥰 Some info (i don’t remember if i put some in the doc or not😂) So the song Better Man was written by taylor for the band Big Little Town. And Babe was written by taylor for Sugerland. Both have their own version of the song but taylor put them in her vault and recorded them herself now with taylors versions. Forever winter is amazing but is inspired by a friend from Taylors past that commited su**de. So its also so very sad. I bet you think about me is like most of this album, about jake gyllenhal. And while Taylor may have grown up under privilege. Her childhood would have been considered normal and not upper class by his standards as he was raised in LA with LOTS of wealth and around those kinds of people. Thank you for doing this so fast Juke. It was a wonderful way to end my day

These vault tracks are incredible! So glad you’ve enjoyed this album

Facts about Red vault: - Better Man was originally written by Taylor Swift but performed by Little Big Town, with the re-recording she decided to release her version but the song already existed. - Babe was originally released by Sugarland with Taylor as a feature, there’s even a music video if you wanna check that out, again at the moment of the re-record she released her solo version. - Forever Winter is a beautiful but really sad song, it is said it’s about her friend at the time who died because of mental health, won’t mention his name out of respect, she never performed this song live at the eras so we can tell how personal that song is. - Finally, please try to listen to all too well 10 min just the song to analyse the lyrics first, and then watch the short film, I think it would be a better experience. Thanks again to give a chance to (in my opinion) her best album ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Forever Winter is my personal "Ronan" -- my best friend in high school struggled a lot with mental health and I was his "summer sun" but unfortunately he died by suicide. Even though the song has an upbeat tone, you can hear the desperation in her voice. Today actually happens to that friend's birthday so listening to this song always helps me feel connected to him, but also makes me sad <3

Taylor G.

In I Bet You Think About Me, I think “I was raised on a farm, no it wasn’t a mansion” was actually about her childhood home on the Christmas Tree Farm which wasn’t fancy. They moved to a huge house when she was like 9 or 10, so I always assumed she was referencing her formative childhood years on the farm. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dana Ries

SHe WAS raised on a farm!! They lived on a working Chistmas tree farm before they moved to Nashville!

Dana Ries

LET"S GOOOOOOOO! YES!!!

Dana Ries

Argee what everyone is is saying - react to JUST All too well 10m song first. ALSO - the Babe music video! Taylor gave the song to Sugarland, so it is their music video, but Taylor wrote the video, AND she duets and costars in it. And she is SO PRETTY.

Lauren

Forever winter gets me every time 🥺💔

ash

She grew up on a Christmas Tree Farm!! :)

Nicole Coyne

Red has my favorite vault tracks!

hydesbride (Ashley)

I'm so glad you loved this album so much and you still have the big song left to go! Eep I am so excited! Thank you for bringing much needed joy to us all!

Isabel

Juke! I think you should watch the live version at the Grammys (or rehearsal, not sure which one Isabella included) of all too well before you hear/watch 10 min version. You get to see how much that song affected her back then and why it was so big within the swifties. Another creator I follow just reacted to the Grammy performance and he mentioned how he wish he would’ve seen it BEFORE the 10 min version. Just a thought but I think it gives so much emotional context to the 10 min version.

Chrisz

I love when Taylor and Ed collaborate. Their voices work so well together. They are my 2 favorite artists. And I also love their friendship. They have 4 songs together, 3 on Taylor's albums and 1 on Ed's album Equals.

Amazing reaction, these vault tracks are top tier its unreal!!😍 Babe is a personal favorite for me and I Bet You Think About Me😊❤️

Krista Grigsby

They’re burning all the witches even if you aren’t one… 🫢

Krista Grigsby

My ex used to get salty at me for watching the acoustic surprise song set livestreams when Taylor was on tour. We broke up and he coincidentally got married on the day that I went to the eras tour wearing a “I Bet You Think About Me” shirt 😂🤣

Michelle A

Love the vault tracks so much, thank you for the reaction!!! I’m so happy to read in the comments that Better Man at the Bluebird Cafe is on your list … sooooo good! As others have mentioned, the Swifts had a Christmas tree farm. Also, I think it’s important to note that while Scott did well they were not millionaires at all. They were upper-middle class at best. This is important because some groups of people try to diminish Taylor by claiming her dad “bought” her career for her and that is completely inaccurate. Here’s a video of her getting a bike for her birthday when she was little, most decidedly not entitled millionaires. https://youtu.be/7uWYXxLwanc?feature=shared

Oh damn...you should have watched the "I Bet you think about me" music video. It's so good!

thatciaraoverthere

I love how excited you were during I bet you think about me! I spent months manifesting her playing that for one of the acoustic songs at my era’s show and when she did I almost fell on the floor! 😂😂❤️

Randi St

better man x it's time to go was my surprise song mashup at the eras tour. just got out of a super toxic relationship at that time and kinda took it as a sign from her that it was right to end things & now these two songs have a special place in my heart. love that you added better man to your faves <3

Holly (Taylor Smith)

I'm SO excited for all too well 10 minute version!! I would suggest doing the lyric video first, then the interviews, then the short film, then the SNL performance (if you plan to do that too). It will be hard to catch all the new lyrics in the short film I feel like. But up to you! Enjoyed this so much as always! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Jenny

Patiently waiting for All Too Well 10 minute version :))

Anj Robinson

She was right, Red TV really was a special project. What a gift we got!

Jasmine Avruskin

One of my favorite mv of her is Come back be here ❤️‍🔥

Jasmine Avruskin

I think you should watch 1-2 interviews about All too well, one from the past where she mentions that this song is originally longer and one from 2022 when she released the 10 minute version. And than go straight to the short film!!

Yasmin Alvarez

you should react to the song first then the short film. it's a lot at once to just watch the film

lily

React to the song first !!!!!!!!!! it's hard to focus on the song AND the movie at the same time :)))

lily

Forever Winter is not about someone she's in a romantic relationship with - It's about a friend of hers who wwas younger than her and who was struggling with mental health (and it is *rumoured* to be about a deceased friend of her's who took his own life). Which is also most likely why she never performed it on the eras tour ❤️

Susanne Stien Masters

She grew up on a Christmas Tree Farm. They were middle class, he may have made more money as she got into high school. She certainly wasn't from old money.

Amanda Thompson

Loved this! My interpretation of the “run from the law” isn’t that either of them are actually running from the law but more like let’s get the hell outta here as fast as we can because I just wanna be in a world where it’s just you and me and no one else! I’m sick of this shit, let’s hide together like the law is after us 😂

Christy

Taylor did live on a Christmas tree farm when she was younger. They had a barn with horses and some land for the trees and also it seemed for the horses. I don’t think they were poor then but definitely middle class, her dad was still early in his career. There’s pictures and videos of Taylor on the Christmas tree farm and her with the horses in her music video for her Christmas song titles Christmas tree farm where she reminisced growing up there. It wasn’t until she about middle school aged that her parents movies into a more upscale home in Pennsylvania before moving to Nashville. Even the upper scale home back in late 90 to early 2000 was probably under a $500,000 home & didn’t have the land they once had at the tree farm. She told a story on letterman once how her job in the tree farm was to check the trees for ticks and bugs and pick them off to make sure someone didn’t have bugs hatch in their house. She joked about it, “what a great job for a child she said”

ruby grace

taylor actually did grow up on a christmas tree farm, there’s so many cute videos of her on the farm when she was younger!
