Taylor is so intelligent as an artist that not only does she evolve and do a variety of genres but she also makes each of her eras distinct with each having their own aesthetic. Yes, I do need a 1989 water bottle in light blue with a seagull on it AND I need a purple Speak Now notebook AND a Red ornament with a scarf on it AND a glittery orange Showgirl cardigan. But it’s not just merch (although as a fan I find the different eras of merch very fun and I only buy what I really want) - it’s more that by making each era distinct it is very engaging to get pulled into the world of that album’s music and each new drop feels exciting and fresh. A real mastermind. I’m so grateful to be alive at the time where she’s producing art that means so much to so many people.

This is one of my favorite songs on Red and I was actually at one of the shows when they performed it (Nashville night 2). It was such a great moment for me and one of my most cherished videos I recorded that night. So glad you reacted to it.

Ahh that one line that says “how can I know everything at 18 but nothing at 22” gets me EVERYTIME. Cause it’s so true, I wish this would’ve been in the OG red cause it’s so freakin relatable. We think we know everything when we’re 18 in high school and no one can tell us anything but once you’re in 20s, graduating college you realize you know NOTHING and wished you had someone telling you what the next steps are. One of my faves from the vault.
