Yay, I’m loving the Red era deep dive. ❤️❤️❤️I didn’t hear you mention on your list “Better Man” at the Bluebird Café - I hope it’s there because that’s an important one. I feel the same way as you that the song Red is underrated, there are so many hits on this album that I think it gets a bit lost in the shuffle. But it is one of my absolute favorites, probably in the top 15 of my all-time favorite Taylor songs. I love how she uses colors as imagery so much and sonically it’s perfect. Since you did this one, Isabella probably didn’t include her performing this song on Letterman, it’s absolute fire if you feel like watching Taylor sizzle some more on your own time. 🔥You might have seen in this video her “new to this era” background vocalists. They’re called the Starlights and they’re absolutely amazing. They work with her to this day and they were the sirens in the water in the Ophelia video. Taylor’s red sparkly “ring master” outfit for the Red tour is legendary. Remember it because it will show up again in later eras.

Red (the song) is soooo underrated 😭 Its one of my absolute favorites! I love that she matches emotions to colors, so creative❤️ She is an angel on Earth, there is no question. SO HAPPY YOU CALL YOURSELF A SWIFTIE NOW🥰

Juke, when I was in college in Fargo, ND in 2000 I worked for the arena there (Fargodome) setting up for concerts, doing stagehand work, etc. Tina Turner came through town on her "Twenty Four Seven Tour" and I actually got to exchange brief words with her after she bumped into me while running up the backstage stairs after a costume change (she simply said "I'm sorry handsome") and all I could muster to say was "you're simply the best". Cory, but true. The point of my story is that I got to witness that woman fly across that elevated catwalk in the tallest of heels while with zero safety railings. She was / is a legend!

I'm sorry I'm slow to comment lately! I loved this reaction! It makes me happy that you appreciate Red the song! It's my second fave on this album after ATW10MV and just before State of Grace! hehe so we seem to love the same tracks on Red! ❤️ And when you freaked out over Taylor tossing her head back at the piano, that was so me! I LOVE when she does that! I actually have a Red poster of that very shot! 😍 Red IS such an underrated song! One of my absolute favorite things Taylor does is use colors for symbolism in her songs, and Red is my favorite color, so of course this song and Maroon really hit for me! 🌹 I'm excited for you to see some more live performances from this era, both from when it was originally released and when Red TV came out! Especially lives of this song and ATW! There are great lives of Red the song that you probably have on your list like the CMT 2013 one (omg wait til you see her outfit 🥰), the CMAs featuring Vince Gill and Allison Krauss, and there are a couple good mashups from the Eras tour: one where she combines it with The Manuscript and another where it's mixed with Maroon. Even if you don't do reactions to all those, definitely check them out! Hehe Have a wonderful day and Halloween tomorrow! /hugs/

Red was the first tour I saw Taylor and got tickets the night before. If only you could still do that now lol I selfishly hate that there’s not a concert film The massive stadiums are mind blowing and amazing but gosh I’d love to see her in a smaller setting again.

I'm late to this but! You mentioned the repetition in "re-e-e-ed" - some time ago there was a guy who did youtube reactions and then disappeared (i think it was family stuff? maybe legal? idk but he wiped his channel) and he mentioned that one taylor-ism that's pretty distinct to her is the repetition of vowel sounds like in red, and how she uses non-words (oohs, mms, whatever) as important parts of melodies rather than just ad-libs (beginning of hey stephen, outro of you're not sorry, ivy outro, etc.). but now every time i listen to her songs I notice it lol
