I love breathin music video she looks so beautiful in it. and actually she was busy at this time, she did a little tour called Sweetener Sessions, she did some shows everywhere in the United States and in London

No no you’re right she called this part of her life her unhealthy era, she was depressed and drinking whilst being medicated so she may look like she’s happy on the surface but she’s not. Theres a speech she gives when she wins billboards woman of the year award in the thank u next era where she perfectly explains that whilst her career was at an all time high and she was going through the pop star motions deep down inside she was broken in her personal life.

the sweetener era was short bc she was so depressed and at her lowest after mac’s passing that she immediately went on to write another album « thank u next ». they are only months apart

Yes great catch -- don't doubt your intuition! She very much looked sad during this performance, and I think she might have even gotten a little bit choked up at one point in the middle because it seemed to affect her vocals :( You'll see when you get to her other performance from the same day. When she's talking to Ellen at the end here, to me it looks like her eyes are reflecting how she's really feeling (looks kind of dead inside which is very sad). Poor Ari!
