Omgggg this is so exciting! So grateful for the Harry deep dive! Fine Line, Cherry, She and Canyon Moon are my favourites. Harry is just so much fun and I got tickets to the Melbourne shows at the end of the year (luckily for the Aus shows, prices weren’t as bad as we anticipated, compared to the US which I see is absolutely nuts…)

I love this album so much!!! Fine line is my favorite harry song. There’s something about him saying we’ll be alright that gives me hope and makes me cry. Also I had a feeling you would recognize watermelon sugar. It was EVERYWHERE when it came out.

I’m loving the reaction and your Harry journey so far! And in relation to what you were saying about what the “haters” have been saying, believe me he is truly a genuine, kind and creative soul. I actually work in the industry and have friends in the industry and he is know as the absolute kindest human, with not one person having a bad thing to say about him, and trust me, that is very rare (I have heard some weird things about nearly everyone else that is as big as him). So don’t worry about what some of the people say on the internet, as with every fandom, lots of fans have an unconscious bias (although sometimes I have to say it feels pretty conscious 😂) against certain artists as they for whatever reasons view them as a threat to their own favourite artist. It’s odd but sadly does happen. Anyway, can’t wait for the future Harry vids (been watching you since you’re first Beyoncé vids as I am also a big Beyoncé fan!). Sorry for the super long comment ahaha. Edit: also re the ticket situation, a lot of the prices that people are talking about are from the “Amex presale”, so there were “platinum” priced seats available, but in general sale it’s not going to be as bad. Also sadly the live music industry has changed so much since his last tour so there has been an increase in price since then, and now artists such as Taylor, Beyoncé, Ariana etc due to demand will be charging very similar prices with their next tours to be honest, unless work is being done to restructure the live and ticketing sector. And re Zayn, he actually also had some tickets for over $1000 but they didn’t sell very well so they had to lower the prices later on, so if it was a dig at Harry, it was perhaps a silly one … No drama here, all love all around, just giving some (hopefully helpful 😬) context.

A bit of context about the current “drama” around Harry: tickets for his new tour partly cost over 1,000 dollars due to Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing (and these weren’t VIP tickets, but regular seated tickets that were far away from the stage). Because of this, he’s currently receiving a lot of criticism from his own fans, but also from the general public. I can understand this to some extent, because concerts shouldn’t become a luxury that only the richest 10% can afford; they’re an important aspect of culture and should be financially accessible to the broader public. Of course, he doesn’t set the prices himself, but he could have spoken out against dynamic pricing. Zayn recently said at one of his concerts, “I hope my prices weren’t that expensive, just saying,” and many people are convinced that this was directed at Harry. Louis also said in an interview not long ago that he hasn’t heard Harry’s song yet, and he didn’t sound particularly happy about the fact that Harry released his comeback single on the same day Louis’s album came out. I have to say that Harry doesn’t come off very well here, but I think the current situation is definitely being a bit overdramatized. There are singers who have done things a hundred times worse, such as Kanye West, for example. I hope this helps you understand why some people aren’t very fond of Harry right now :)

This album is very close to my heart. You can dance to it, cry, reflect, and so much more. My favorite songs are She, Sunflower, Vol. 6, and Falling. I love seeing that Harry’s music has touched you so quickly, because it did the same for me! Loved the reaction, as always <3

Every big name and successful artist comes with haters. I’m not sure why Zayn said what he said about the ticket prices and if he is shading Harry, that is upsetting because I’m sure Harry did not decide the prices of the tickets. Anyone who tries to pit the boys against each other is miserable in my opinion. Back when Harry won a BRIT award for Harry’s House, he literally dedicated his acceptance speech to all of the boys

"Fine Line" is my favorite Harry song, and one of my favorite songs of all time. I’ve always admired how he avoided the "safe" route on this album, especially as a major pop artist. I see that same experimental spirit in "Aperture," which has me so excited for the new album! Also, my personal theory: "She" isn’t about a woman, but a personification of his own feminine side and his need to protect it. Again, I think he intentionally leaves things vague enough for us to find our own meaning. By the way, I don't know who recently broke into your closet and cut the sleeves off all your shirts, but I think we ALL owe this mystery vandal a big thank you. 💕😂

As far as the drama goes the ticketmaster drama happens every time a big artist goes on tour (imo people blame the artists bc its easier than fighting the systems), and as for the other stuff the various one direction fandoms are always in drama and competition so its honestly easier to ignore it. They make everything into a competition between each member instead of letting them stand on their own with their accomplishments and it gets worse when harry is actively doing stuff because he's the easiest punching bag since he's objectively the most popular now. Currently the issue is that harry released his single on the same day louis released his album and people think it was malicious (which I'll never buy, they may not all be besties anymore but they've said they still talk) and zayn made a joke (probably about the original ticket prices for his residency) that fans took as a dig at harry. It's honestly better to just stay out of it fully, its almost as bad as the pop girl comparison competition that's always going on (it may be worse just bc of the history) and it sucks all of the fun out of the fandom tbh

also!! the french at the end of cherry was his ex girlfriend camille rowe! it was a voicemail she left for him and he asked permission to use it in the song, they ended on super good terms and she’s a favourited ex of his, super sweet song and also my favourite!!🤭

Listen, I love Harry down. Was a Harry girl all through the years of one direction, but the stuff with the ticket sales is legit. He and his team were in charge of setting prices. Ticketmaster does not set the prices. It’s also the artist responsibility to decide to disable dynamic/platinum pricing, an Harry elected to not disable it. Now, this does not make him a bad person. I think he is a gem, but I do think he is a little bit out of touch with the economic reality of the world right now. Also, him and Zayn have had tension since Zayn left one direction. Harry has made a few public jabs at Zayn, and Zayn recently made a jab back about the ticket prices.

I agree that every fanbase has those bad eggs that criticize artists for no reasons, but unfortunately in this case I feel like those criticisms are valid. He is far overcharging for his tickets, especially because he is doing residencies, which are supposed to cut down on costs and therefore on ticket prices. And this time it wasn't Ticketmaster doing the overcharging, it was Harry and his team. I love Harry and his music, but I really can't justify spending that much money for one show.

Ahhhhh such a good watch! My favourites have always been Falling and Fine Line. I think you’ll really love the music videos from this album. They’re all very different from each other, and he gets quite creative with the concepts. As for the hate going on - this is the ONE AND ONLY time I’ve ever experienced a single person hating on Harry, and it’s 100% all regarding his ticket pricing. As far as I can tell, dynamic pricing was turned on in the US, which lead to expensive tickets. I am in AU and ours were less than half of the price (I believe we have laws around the use of dynamic pricing). This is a common thing that happens with artists, unfortunately. I do believe anything to do with pricing would have been his teams decision, and I thoroughly hope his mental health hasn’t been too affected by this, because some of the things I’ve seen being said about him are extreme. He has always been a sweetheart and my heart sinks a bit thinking about all of this.

People can hate me for saying this and I know Taylor deserved album of the year for Folklore, but I would have given the award to Fine Line, just because where do you hear psychedelic music like this that's current? This is such a 60s album I just can't resist it. I am a day one Swiftie, but still. Give her album of the year to TTPD which is a masterpiece or better yet, Red TV should have won it. LOL I know Folklore deserved it, but I love Evermore more and Fine Line is just chefs kiss.

Hey Juke! at some point during your Harry Styles deep dive I'd definitely recommend you watch the movie - Don't worry darling. Harry is one of the main characters and he does a really incredible acting job in my opinion! there is a lot of range of acting in the movie from sad to angry to happy and even to horny! It's one of my favorite films and I'd love to watch you react to it! :D

I know pretty much no HS lore and am at most a general fan of his, but I remember listening to this album in early 2020 and having it pretty much define those early covid months and the year as a whole -- golden, adore you in the first half of the year, sunflower and canyon moon during the summer (and obvs watermelon sugar when it was released as a single in may), and fine line as a closer within the political and social context. it feels a little dumb to bring it back to the context at the time lol but the "we'll be alright" really did sum up that post-election and covid vaccine optimism then. as always, love your reactions and can't wait for you to experience all the new music you have coming up!

I’m late to the party but yes a lot of people are mad about ticket prices especially since most people have to travel and buy hotel rooms and something Harry does sometimes not all the time but I’ve seen it a couple times is so Louis Tomlinson announced his album months in advance then maybe not even a week before harry announced Aperture and that came out just a few hours before Louis album and then Harry announced his tour like the next day if I remember correctly so some people are mad or sad that Louis isn’t really getting the recognition he deserves another thing is watch out for Larries Larries are people who actually believe Louis and Harry dated it got so bad management had to break them apart but I think they were just really close best friends who would show bromance every once awhile sorry for how long this is

Falling and Cherry are just so 🤌🏼 (but I’m 100% a ballad girlie). I’m obsessed with Watermelon Sugar, because who doesn’t love an upbeat sexy song, and a man who loves kitty🤭? But I also LOVE that the general population had no idea what it was about and it had massive play on the radio for ages! I can’t wait for you to see the MV! Once you do your music video marathon, I beg you to watch a fan made mashup music video of Falling x Harry and Cardigan x Taylor as a bonus. It’s a life changing video and the creator is a genius! Lastly, Friday Night Lights is an incredible sports movie- but it cannot surpass Bring It On and Varsity Blues in my ranking!
