SEBASTIAN CASTAÑEDA

OMG, you're fast. I actually love the video, it's very arts-y and with a lot of references. To me the car was a metaphor for the journey she was in the relationship with Rauw Alejandro (whom is in the car with her) and al of a sudden she's jetted out of the car and left in the desert ( I also feel like it's a reference to the time Jesus spent in the desert). She's also dressed in a gala gown and the guy in the car with her is in a suit (I think it's a reference to the time they went to the Latin Grammys together where she won Album of the Year and even thanked him in her speech). The dress is even similar and the suit of the guy that appears in the video is also dressed very similar to Rauw. To me it's interesting that they lyrics of Sauvignon Blanc are almost a love song but it's interesting to think she's singing to herself leaving away the relationship that she had and being helped by god (whom in the video is represented by the invisible force that takes her out of the car before it eventually blows up and catches on fire). She kinda abandons everything that's material in life to love someone ( I would think herself after her failed relationship or the new person that's to come to her life) and she falls onto the will and hands of god, getting back on her feet and moving on forward. The lyrics show her surrender by saying ""I'm not afraid of the past... by your side my future will be golden". I LOVED the video, it's not as "show-y" as some videos are but art sometimes is great when it sparks up thinking beyond what's initially presented to you and be open to interpretation. The intellectualism is great when art isn't explicit.
