I was impressed by his performance in the Best New Artists showcase at the Grammys and now need to hear his album for myself. Let me know your favorite tracks and help me break down the lyrics.

Sombr? I barely know her! Sorry but the joke was right there and I just had to... I'll see myself out. 🤣

Love sombr. All his earlier, non-album tracks are 10/10 as well!

i think for come closer hes more so talking about emotional closeness and the fact that this person he loves is always looking for the next thing while he waits for their love and hes tired of that distance and just wants them to either commit or to just leave him alone

First time listening to the album/getting into his artistry. Loved every song - ‘Canal Street’ CAN be a skip but i still have it in my liked tracks. 🤍♥️

Found this album when I was in a very similar situation. Really has a special place in my heart, I look forward to his next album, whenever that is! ♥️ Also, I think about the song come closer, it's more so about when people give you mixed signals and you just want a clear answer ''come closer OR stay away''. You just want to know whether they actually want you or not, because if you don't have a clear answer you're always going to hold onto that hope that one day they will come back and it makes it very hard to move on!

When it comes to substance in lyrics, as long as the artist is a person who I have no reason to think is an awful person, I like to try to remember what Taylor Swift said. Sometimes whole songs are written about a passing thought or a feeling that is felt for 5 seconds. Or like Adele who recently said she wrote her whole first album pining after a guy and now she couldn’t even remember his name. At the end of the day, it may not be how the artist ends up feeling about the situation, but it’s part of the process of getting to the right place. That’s what’s relatable about lyrics. Even a whole album, such as this, where he barely comes to acceptance towards the end is fine to me. It’s a tiny piece of a story, not a conclusion and certainly not advice for how others should do things. Ps: I’m not trying to be hard on you at all, Juke! I enjoy your reactions a lot. Just wanted to offer a little pov anyone is free to take or leave.
