bre

I always forgot the crazy editing lol

Anna

Omg DANNY! I cannot handle the GUNS! “Hottest man alive goes sleeveless whilst dancing to Taylor Swift causing global unwellness” -news outlets tomorrow probably

Jerico Rivera

YEEEEEESSS!!! 🥰🥰🥰 PS, I'm kinda scared to see your reaction to the I Know Places where she was kind of like Michael Jackson because the dancer was edited out lol. The editing of this entire documentary is just.. something else. 😭💀

Ritu 🩵

Absolutely love the cat shirt!! 😍

bre

After seeing your reaction to i knew you were trouble.....I cant wait for eras tour vigilante shit 🤭🩷

MY TIME TO SHINE

Ashley Huff

If you think her singing is great on this just get ready for the rep tour and the eras tour

Tessa Hack

One of the dancers from this tour was also on the Rep tour, as well as a music video from Lover. I don’t know if he’s still dancing professionally, but he’s a musician and actually was an opener for some of her Eras tour dates. His name is Owenn

ray

the shirt is so cute and taypropriate🩵🩵

What you said about watching someone do what they love is so good. Taylor's live performances have always elevated her songs and maybe once you are done with everything, you could do all the accoustic surprise songs from the eras tour. There are over hundreds of them! But each one of them is brilliant. Her expressions, subtle inflections and note changes everytime she truly emobodies whatever emotion the song is about.

becca

keith was my surprise guest, it was AWESOME

Chrisz

As much as I love 1989 i cannot wait for reputation. It's difficult the choose a favorite Taylor album but reputation has for some reason aways been special to me.

Pam Delpapa

It feels like I’ve been looking forward to this for so long and you reaction was worth it!!! Hope you feel better soon!🥰

Ayana Beau

We are never getting back together (rock version) a definite highlight. OOTW and wildest dreams/enchanted my fav performances. I remember when this tour came out on apple music or maybe itunes i forget. I watched it almost every single day. This tour was so magical, it's one tour i wish I went to. It's always great to see Taylor through your eyes, because your reactions were mine 100% This is why I always attribute Taylor as my inspiration for songwriting and just making people feel included and seen and she's literal MAGIC.

Parker

the guests were different EVERY single night even if she was in the same city! I saw the DC show with Lorde, and the next night she had Jason Duerlo…. so so crazy

Larissa🌸🪩

Awesome reaction, such an iconic show!!🤩 Her vocals are so peak during this era, I have yet to personally figure out what about them is so different, but its something. Maybe tone because of her age at the time?🤔 Rock Taylor needs to be studied lol. Thanks for powering through when you're sick, I hope you get well soon🤒 Rest up, don't rush back before you're ready!💙

Michelle A

That was a fun reaction! I’m sorry you’re sick but you definitely seemed high energy! The crazy thing about the 1989 tour is it’s SO DAMN GOOD but both. the Rep tour and Eras tour are even better! It’s crazy to think that after watching how good this is, but she just keeps upping her game. I know you said you have a few more 1989 vids before you start Rep, I wonder if any of them are talk shows b/c she did a ton of them during this era (I mention this because she does ZERO 0️⃣ talk shows for Rep but there is some fun making of the album stuff). I think The Life of a Showgirl has been a huge massive success and isn’t done yet. Sometimes the loud voices on twitter and other social media don’t accurately portray what’s actually happening with Taylor’s albums. There’s always some weird discourse when she releases something - not to mention the paid bots out there pushing the negativity - and then in the end she just blows everybody way. The same thing happened to TTPD, there was a lot of whining and complaining as it broke a crazy amount of records and is now much more highly revered than it was when it was new. Which sucks because it really deserved some Grammys. Anyhow, Showgirl has already been insanely commercially successful not to mention two #1 hits with absolutely perfect music videos. And when Taylor starts giving us live performances of Showgirl? Watch the narrative online change. I have my fingers crossed for more music videos. I know it’s hard to think you’re almost done with the 1989 era, but REP is so freaking amazing!!!! You’re going to love how badass she is in it and the music videos are INSANE!!! Hope you feel better soon, hope you’re going to some place warm for vacation!

This tour really means the world to me and was my catharsis summer of 2015. I lost my grandma who was everything that July and went to Raleigh afterwards and when she sang clean and this love right after, I legit bawled my eyes out. I needed to let all the emotions out and it really was therapy for me.

Laurel Meng

I feel like all of your 1989 era videos have been building to this point!! I love love the performances on this tour so much, but it's incredible how she got even better in her next two tours. In this one you can see the effort she's putting in because it's her biggest tour yet and she feels like she has a lot to prove. And then in the rep tour, her performances feel incredibly effortless, yet still SO impactful. 1989 was such a turning point in her career. She just gets even more amazing from here, as you know from her more recent work. Can't wait for you to experience reputation because that was truly a wild time to live through!

Brandy Murphy

This reaction was amazing like yours usually always are just wanted to know if you are going to be doing the Reputation stadium tour as well I heard you say in this reaction you are doing the Era's tour and that is amazing I can't wait

Those years, Taylor was struggling with an eating disorder, but no one knew about it. She only talked about it years later. She said that during the The 1989 World Tour she often felt like she was gonna faint, and that doing the tour was actually really hard for her. In spite of this, she didn't cancel even one single show on the 1989 Tour. Every night she stood on that stage looking the happiest, the most energetic, and completely present. She gave 100% every single time and made sure every show was the best it could be. The fact that she managed to do all of that honestly just blows my mind. I don't think most of us could have done it. Whenever I think about it, it makes me sad, but at the same time it makes me admire Taylor even more. It makes me feel even prouder of her 🥺🩵

hydesbride (Ashley)

I'm going to comment properly later today (need some sleep), but I just had to say how much I loved this reaction and thank you SO much for the shout-out and making my bday extra special! And I'm amazed at your energy while being sick. I hope you feel better soon, and that you don't mind the typical longer comment I'm going to leave later! Hehe

Aastha Sharma

Thank you for the shout out Juke, you made my day. Thank you for continuining to give us your full energy and effort🤍

Mariah Galle

I do love how you’re doing this in order for her first albums! To see the evolution of her tours and the improvements in her dancing, vocals, and just overall confidence! I can’t wait for you to see the rep tour and the eras tour (both versions, hopefully🤞🏻)

Gracelynn Timlock

I hope you feel better thank you for everything you do and I hope you enjoy your vacation ❤️

Jacqueline Goon

Oh, her voice and sparkling blue eyes, the kitties and butterflies, the glitter and glam, and the exhilaration and sweat! Loving this TS 1989 experience! 🌸

Caroline

haters are loud! i love LOASG and i say that as a folklore/ttpd stan

Caroline

weve been on this journey w u for so long sometimes i forget u havent seen rep or eras tour yet! yes this is crazy but just u wait

Carolyn Beland

I hope someone warned you how crazy the editing is on this 😂

Carolyn Beland

I always think of how excited the dads who took their kids to see Taylor Swift were when Mick Jagger or Steven Tyler comes out.

Liam Mcfarlane

This tour has some of my favourite Taylor vocals but god damn, Jonas Akerlund and his team should by tried at The Hague for this editing 😭

Christina Johnson

Does anyone else have issues with Vimeo videos ? If I start and stop for whatever reason, it makes me start all over!!!

Liam Mcfarlane

Oh Danny, if you think Giuseppe Giofre's hot, just wait until we get to Jan Ravnik's Oscar Isaac lookin' ass 😂

Taylor

I'm so glad you appreciated this era so much. I, like everyone else, cannot wait for your response to Reputation, but I always appreciate that you allow each era to have its moment without rushing through them. On an unrelated note I always think it's so interesting to see the difference between concerts put on by female artists vs male artists (as a generalization). The way women are always putting on such an incredible production with pyrotechnics and choreography and numerous costume changes and walking along a floating platform while wearing high heels, etc. only to have people come out and complain about their dance moves or appearance, but many male artists just show up in jeans and a T-shirt. I love both types of shows but the criticism that female artists receive will always be so outrageous to me when I see the amount of effort they put into their shows.

sávyo

yesssss, im so happy right now

Amanda Thompson

Yassss this TOUR is gold! Can we rewind so we can both actually go see it?! Og swiftie that still hasn’t seen her yet 😢 That we are never getting back together rock performance could wake me out of a coma! I get the chills every time!! 😍😍

Liam Mcfarlane

I know you've got some more 1989 vids to do, but before you listen to Rep, I think it would be a good idea to watch a clip of the edited phone call between her and Kanye that led to her disappearing for a year and coming back with Rep so that you can get an idea of what that time was like

hydesbride (Ashley)

Onto the long comment lol I absolutely love how excited you got for both Red song performances! I definitely think these are my two fave renditions of I Knew You Were Trouble and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together! You nailed the Zeppelin song. It always gave me Kashmir vibes too. And ever since I started going on the journey with you, I was waiting for WANEGBT rock version. I knew you were going to love it, and man that part was so fun!! So glad you finally got to experience that moment!! 🎸 Your dry humor when you casually quoted TTPD with "I think Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist" was perfect hehe You can definitely find fan recordings of all those guest performances on YouTube if you want to check them out! I really like the one with Alanis because you can tell that Taylor was inspired by a song like You Oughta Know with her own style of writing. And Alanis had to deal with all the "who is it about" speculation that Taylor constantly deals with. Kobe revealed a banner at Staples Center (still don't like calling it Crypto .com arena lol) for Taylor being the artist with the most sold out shows! They had a cool friendship. After he and his daughter passed away Taylor sent a care package to his other daughter, Bianka. And she actually appears in the Eras Tour movie at a really special part! 😭 I appreciate you pointing out the way Taylor just lays it all out there here! I agree that I don't notice her being fatigued, but that just goes to show what a hard worker and consummate performer she is, that she was struggling that much but we never knew. I remember seeing a clip of her performing in Brazil on the Eras Tour when it was over 100 degrees and humid. She just finished a song, and the lights are down. You can see her laboring for breath, sweaty, slightly bent over, and exhausted. The lights turn back up and she instantly snaps upright into perfect form for the next song. What a badass queen. 👑 You are going to love the Reputation and Lover albums and eras too! I'm so excited to see you get there! As GREAT as the 1989 tour is, Reputation and Eras tours are even better. Like you said, she is always upping her game! 🥰 Thank you for powering through sickness to basically pull a Taylor and lay it all out for us! You had epic energy here! More than I ever have when fully healthy lol you rock! I hope you feel better soon, and enjoy your mini break! /hugs/

bre

the things I would do for a Taylor rock album

Ash

1989 era will always be iconic. The album is still in my top 4 of all her albums even after all these years. I loveeee the versions of I Knew You Were Trouble, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and Love Story she did on this tour. Soooo cool. Sooooo excited for you to get into Rep era!!! Also extremely iconic. & hope you feel better soon Danny ❤️‍🩹

ash212

Love love loveee your reaction, so glad you’ve finally seen this iconic tour vid! Honestly some of the most standout vocals from Taylor to this day. It always kills me that the editors cut to a different angle every .5 seconds and they maxed the saturation of anything blue to make her eyes pop. Like anything from the past it feels very of its time period (the wtny sunglasses, heelies, dancers in cut off suit pants, etc.) but that makes it feel even more special, to know that it has been impacting people for 10+ years now and will just keep doing so :)

Christina Johnson

I’m soooo excited for you to move on to Reputation!! I think you’re going to love it!

Kenz

That shirt 🤌🏼 you in that shirt 🤌🏼 is that bad to say 🤐

Madison

You should watch the full doubt performance, they both killed it!

Emma Petrea

Would you agree to watch the 1989 performance of Selena and Taylor? There is also one from the speak now era, i don’t know if you have gone through it

Dorothy Reames

Danny! Life is brutal! Thanks for taking me with you to 1989! I needed that!🌸💕🩷💍🏈🧨🔥🧡

Stace (saysGoBirds)

Is anyone else glitching EVERY time they get to the last hour?

Susan

I cant wait until he sees the Eras tour. His mind is going to be fully blown.
