It feels weird to say I enjoyed the reaction on something like this one, but you're a kind soul! One thing I think that's nice to share is what James Ford (the producer for this album) said about the cover: "We were approaching all sorts of different artists to broaden out to US artists and pop artists, too. Olivia has been fairly outspoken on political issues and always wears her heart on her sleeve. We talked to her about being part of it, and she came up with the idea of this cover version. I really love this song and was happily surprised she suggested it. We worked out an arrangement, and I managed to talk her into recording what we were calling 'a Sinatra-style' live vocal recording with a string section in Abbey Road. Graham Coxon is playing guitar, Ed Harcourt is playing piano, and it's just a very natural, almost old-school recording. It's a really beautiful book-end to the record, really ending on a message of love, essentially. That's important to try and remember in these dark times."

Watching the kids playing in the rubble is what did it for me too. I can understand why some people want to live in ignorance. It’s so heartbreaking to know humans can be so cruel. But acknowledging it and facing it is the only way things can ever change. The world needs empathy.

I love this song and it’s so important to donate when you can which I try to do as often as I can. Ignorance can only last for so long so the least people can do is share donation links and/or donate themselves even if it’s $1

That music video is so deeply affecting that I can't watch without tears. I'm proud to stan the people's princess, Olivia Rodrigo. Big ups to you for being outspoken and donating. Also, thank you for correctly pronouncing "Iran" (ee-rahn not i-ran). It may seem like a simple gesture but just about everyone mispronounces it, including politicians and news media. The fact that you cared enough to use the correct pronunciation really does exemplify your respect and empathy
