Harry gorgeous-empathetic-beautifully-vulnerable-authentic-soul Styles is back with a new live performance from Funkhaus. He performs Season 2 Weight Loss, Paint By Numbers and Coming Up Roses. His voice is one of my favorites I've ever heard but his character and genuine nature is what gravitates me towards him the most. Let me know your thoughts 💙

Harry most likely wrote all the songs on guitar or piano before adding production. The benefit of that method is that you can always strip the songs down to acoustic, no matter how electronic the production gets. I’m sure you could have guessed by now, but I sing, write, and produce music as a hobby. 😊 I was lucky enough to have been accepted into a free performing arts academy for middle school where I learned to compose and play guitar and piano. It’s always so fun for me to see you freak out over musicality, even when you don’t know the proper terms. Please, take those piano lessons!! But still, I’m gonna need you to stop hitting on my husband. It’s like I’m in high school again, watching my crush flirt with my other crush. Not fair! 😭😭😂😂

This was recorded at the Funkhaus here in Berlin, which is a historic location as the former broadcasting center of the German Democratic Republic (GDR). They were selling the yellow "Kuss Disko" sweaters at the Berlin pop-up merch store, so annoyed I didn't get one now (they weren't that popular at the time)! In case you didn't know, Danny, the guy accompanying Harry on keyboards and guitar and doing backing vocals is Kid Harpoon aka Tom Hull, who collaborated with him and produced the album, and apparently lived with him in an apartment in Berlin at the start of 2025 for several months. Looking forward so much to seeing Harry in Amsterdam on June 4th!

I think "Coming up Roses" is about overthinking things in a new relationship, maybe also out of a genuine fear of true intimacy, because he can feel how special that person is and that it could potentially be a great match. When he stops overanalysing and just lets himself be present, things feel really good.

Uncertainty was maybe the word you were looking? But yessss, loved watching it when it popped out of nowhere and now rewatching it with you. So much comfort and joy, that I needed so much right now. S2 weight loss is def one of my fav (like all the others right) and this version of it is just fenomenal. That cello, uhhh! Paint by numbers for me is so meaningful and nostalgic. Just another beautiful peace of art. And Coming up roses, can’t love this song enough. He knows what we all need. So human, so vulnerable, so tender. Cannot wait to see how he puts everything playing together together in tour! Kuss means kiss in german, but fun fact, in my language, estonian it means “shh” or “quiet!” and it fits perfectly too 😊
