BAND-MAID PRIME - "Bestie" behind the scenes! (Patreon)

I figured it was time to dig into the BAND-MAID Prime account.

I was excited to dig through the archives and I know at some point I will be digging into those single shot cams to see what the maids can really do, but before I do that...

...we are going to check out some of the music video behind the scenes. These are things that scratch an itch for me. I always want to see how they were made and who did the creative directing. I was excited to see that Saiki did pretty much everything!!!

You already have the right mindset for visiting Japan. You are interested in their culture and to visit on "their terms" if you will. It is very true that some areas have had about enough of foreigners but, - show that you are respectful and want to experience the culture and you will be just fine

Enjoyed that. Should do the Infuencer one sometime too. Saiki has always been very careful/deliberate with her words in interviews (the Young Guitar (?) interview for Unseen world shows this very clearly) in that she is very precise with what she is trying to convey. Covid, I think, had a profound effect on her resulting in her taking a huge step forward in all band activities - like she learned not to take anything for granted.

I swear Kanami's "wings" are Ace Frehley inspired.

Super Stylist Saichan! The girls are very normal in their daily dress, at first they even dressed without any style and Saiki was horrified. In some interview she has told how she has influenced the clothes of the rest of the band, Kanami in particular is delighted with what Saiki chooses for her. Saiki's hairstyle is fashionable in Japan, Hime hairstyle, the hairstyle of princesses. The table behind MISA reminds them of the back cover of the New Beginning album, where five unruly maids have the table in a mess.

Misa's outfit here is my favorite of the 5, though they all look beautiful. But Misa's look here is perfect and suits her to a T. Mincho and Miku just look adorable!

Saiki's ability to verbally convey has been a real evolution over the last 11 years. She was much more shy and direct in the beginning.

Great reaction and a couple of points: Saiki's hair was cut just before this video, she showed it off on Instagram, pretty sure they are all wearing pants (except Kanami) and not skirts, Kanami's outfit is an inner short dress and the overlay is the floor length part, the desk behind MISA is like the cover art for the album "New Beginning". As for Saiki, she was very reluctant to speak in interviews until during the pandemic she started coming out of her shy personality and is now making interview appearances without Miku leading the way.

Thank you for a very enjoyable half-hour, spent in the company of my favourite band and my favourite reactor. That background screen looks to me like some kind of next-level Japanese stage tech (multiple translucent hanging strips that deliver such beautiful imagery) - it really blends in well with the super chic style that abounds throughout. My first thought about Miku's belt was that it looked like a gardener's tool belt - maybe Saiki considers Miku to be a gardener who planted and nurtured Band-Maid to become such an exotic and wonderful creation.

Another stellar and really fun video reaction NittPicc! They are pegging the needle on the adorableness here. If you want some more super cuteness from them, please check some of their videos (short ones) from their 2022 US Tour when they were riding in their luxury tour bus. I think you can find them on their Instagram accounts. There is one where they are all sleeping together and another where Saiki is combing Kanami's hair. Kamani looks so relaxed and happy in that one. And of course, for any Band Maid fan, there is SO much cool stuff like this on Band Maid Prime. Even if you can only afford it for a month or two (but it's really inexpensive) just binge it, it's so worth it. Be sure to check out "Silent Maid - Don't Laugh." Only about a minute long, but really funny!

I always thought they were cute. But,I cared more about their music. The first time I saw them live. I'm right up front. When Misa waked out, she was about six feet away from me. I was truly amazed at how gorgeous she is. And was way more busier on the bass than what I previously noted.

I enjoyed this a lot lol. I wasn't drawn to this song until the music video came out and i think the outfits had something to do with it. The outfits, especially Kanami's just made me think of one word: ethereal.
