When I got the notification that BAND-MAID had released a behind the scenes of "Forbidden Tale," I knew I had to check it out! It took me a little bit to get to it, but it's never too late!

I really enjoyed seeing the maids play a game of "guess this riff/song." It's funny to watch their reactions as well as their impressions of Saiki. I hope you enjoy them goofing around as much as I did!

Calling the wood "tree" is a thing from their Christmas Acoustic OKYUJI commentary. It's not "behind the scenes," it's just that they speak at the background while watching their own performance. I think initially it was about Kanami's acoustic guitar that she called it "wooden," then they started to talk about wood, and then they said, the wood is a tree, right? I have to rewatch that commentary to refresh my memory. It's on PRIME, I think. I have it on my hard drive, though, saved from the Blu-Ray. They have uploaded it to the PRIME later, I believe.

Saiki's "suit" reminds me of late 19th/early 20th century, high society fashion with a dark flair. instantly My Fair Lady and Titanic came to mind. She should have a parasol.

The first time I saw them - LA 10-1-2019 - Saiki wore colored contacts and I was not expecting that. And seeing her from just a few feet away during the meet and greet, I was blown away. It's a powerful, beautiful look for her.

Yes, it was a perfect elegant shooting location for such a perfectly elegant group of hard-working, hard-playing women. It seems like since MAIDIT, or maybe also since their collab with The Warning and the resulting vlog of it, they've been releasing a lot more behind-the-scenes stuff lately. I love it all!

Hey, glad you're feeling better! Welcome back. As for fashion, I'm sure you'd love to see the little "fashion show" they did at their Yokohama Arena concert explaining the latest variation of their outfit (including an absolutely hilarious cat walk by Akane). Nails painted in imaginative shapes, contact lenses... the girls are very feminine, it's part of the gap in contrast to their barbed music. Kanami is using her limited edition PRS here, these months have been intense for her as she has been the first musician in Japan to also obtain a signature model PRS guitar. Paul Reed Smith himself presented it to her! I think we all felt proud of her achievement, she certainly deserves it.

For me Saiki's dress reminds me of the late 40's, that straight line to the flare at the calves is something you can see in old movies from that time period. Also, Saiki is still pretty shy as she has trouble looking directly at the camera. Thanks for the reaction to this BTS video.

That commentary video you are speaking of is so funny and entertaining! It's the second commentary video (of 4). Somehow they begin discussing what Kanami might have been in a previous life. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who has not yet seen it, but hilarity ensues Misa suggests a possible entity for Kanami in a past life and Akane cannot control her laughter. I laugh every time, it's hilarious!

This was fun to watch, seeing the ladies' just having fun is such a treat. The outfits, as we've seen, have evolved over the years and IMO are a reflection of them not only maturing but of their femininity. I only discovered them this June, where was I? I first saw/heard Hate? and then dived into From now on. The musicianship hooked me, the extras like this video are the cherry on top. Glad you are feeling better, enjoy your Thanksgiving week.

Welcome David! Better late than never Po! If you would like to see more of their personalities, may I suggest watching the Commentary versions of the Christmas Acoustic show from 2021 on Band Maid Prime. Broken into 4 parts, the Maids talk over the music videos about all manner of things, not just the music or videos. It is funny, entertaining and heart warming.

Not a real big fan of Saiki uniform I know she likes to dance and the bottom of the dress seam more restrictive. Also seen some past performances and it does not seem to breath to well I can see her Perspiring a lot in live events. 😊

Princess NittPicc, first of all, I glad you're better. As far as finding a seamstress to make your maid costume, have you thought about any females who make their own cosplay outfits. Many of them have become seamstress or know one.

Did you notice Misa is wearing shoes? Maybe the floor was cold? Yes, Kanami's outfit is very cool! Misa's is okay, but I prefer the Chinese inspired one a couple of incarnations ago.

Yes, everyone noticed it. This style of dress was designed with a "lady-like behaviour" in mind, when "the lady" is walking in small steps, or sits straight at the edge of a chair. Definitely not something comfortable for a badass rock singer Saiki is.

I think they definitely removed the part where they were watching the documentary about themselves. You're welcome! It is very hard to catch Misa making the suggestion at first, in fact, only Akane heard it, the rest of the Maids did not. It all starts when Kanami shares that she was very shy until she started playing guitar.
