This is revenge.

Not only revenge for the heart, but revenge for the musician. The maids killed it in this song! Especially our bass queen MISA!

I was taken by the unison guitar lines and unique use of rhythm. I guess the speed was so fast that I wasn't able to catch the real rhythm. I love finding out what they are actually playing from the score!

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

The initiative you've put forward on your YT channel to go through their discography is very interesting. Maid in Japan was their first album and it's more like what the record company expected from them, a slightly more digestible pop punk with idol imagery. It's an excellent starting point to see how much they've grown over the years. The distance between that album and Epic Narratives can be measured in astronomical units. I still seek revenge is the song that alone explains why MISA stayed in Band Maid and why there's no other band better for her. Kanami's compositions fit her like a glove.

NittPicc, see your Patreon mail. Full album YT link plus more

I may be wrong, but I think it is all 4/4. The Maids are just really good at tempo disregulation.

And Chemical Reaction and Honkai are in my top songs off that stellar album. Youth is also a great song.

Don't worry about your Hoodie look. It's looks kinda like a cross between a penguin and a monk, LOL! But you look comfy and happy and that's all that matters po. 🥰😊🐧

We need a "Random NittPicc Thoughts" series. LOL! Maybe if you feel like you need a break sometimes, but still want to make content, it could be an option.

Concerning Saiki's sweat. Many of watching the livestream noticed this. I've never seen her sweat as much as she did here. And she was sweating pretty heavily from the get go.

Princess NittPicc, in the spirit of the Christmas season, can you react to a few of the songs from Band-Maid's Christmas OKyu-Ji in December 2021. There are quite a few gems from the concert like "Page" and "Mirage" from the concert that I'm not sure you have listened to yet,

Bill Hallisey

Kanami LOVES Saiki's sweat! LOL!

Another under appreciated song from these amazing ladies! Absolutely love this song!

This album was a product of the pandemic, composed during the lock downs and then released on the world, to our pleasure and benefit!

Really cool!!!!!

Epic song! Too bad the rest of the world doesn't hear it! Well, some do hear it, but not the U.S.A. where the market it :/

I was watching this in my pajamas and bathrobe, but then I had to go outside and shovel some snow!

Unseen World was definitely my favorite album before Epic Narratives. It has a huge amount of variety and some amazing compositions on it.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought she did it on purpose. Because Christmas season, all that stuff. Even the Maids tend to change their outfits at the end of the year, you know.

Do you know the story behind it? MISA was sick with flu in the middle of 2017, so, BAND-MAID decided to play 2 OKYUJIs without her (instead of cancelling them). But when MISA was well again, BAND-MAID redone these two shows with her, and called it "Revenge of Ass-Chin" (cause MISA has a dimple in her chin). They even released a T-shirt with this theme: https://www.reddit.com/r/BandMaid/comments/6mk48b/misa_tshirt_revenge_of_ass_chin/ So, this song is continuing the story. MISA still seeks revenge.

Eaglez1

"Cutesy Sensuality " is an understatement lol

Charles Coleman

I was aware of the moniker and the t-shirt, but not the story behind it. Arigato!!!

Excellent idea!! I am a mailman. That acoustic Okyu-ji started streaming at 9PM EST Christmas eve. I got home 15 minutes before it started. I was (and still am) blown away by how great it was.

I have it ... I sent it to her ;) .

There are many aspects of this song, MISA's relentless bass line, Kanami's insane sole, Saiki's awesome vocals, Akane's punishing drum lines, that make this one of my favorite Band-Maid songs. But one thing in particular that makes this song so special for me is Miku's vocal interjections - the oohs and aahs, the harmonies, but especially the extra vocal lines under Saiki's lines. They add so much to the song. Without them, it would be a totally different sounding song.
