Do you like the thumbnail? HAH!

Look! I'm a vampire!

Not really...although I am proud of my (lack of) photoshop skills!

It's been a while since I have last listened to Aldious. The first song I listened to was "We Are" and that song ripped into my face and soul. This song on the other hand was more dark and heavy and I am gald I got the chance to revisit this band. Thank you for reminding me to come back to great bands!

Re:NO like Asami of Lovebites did not start out as a heavy metal singer. She did have to leave the band due to health issues from her ears and hearing. A couple of years ago she did manage to come back with some solo work which is more pop. The Drummer Marina Bozzio has since also pretty much had to quit music because of health. The band got back with Re:NO and original drummer Aruto for some shows last year. Talking about cute Japanese ladies in music have you reacted to anything thing by Wednesday Campanella or their current vocalist Utaha’s solo work. She is friends with the girls from Atrashii Gakko and has recently done some collaborations with another of her friends Cent who is previously of the idol group BISH.

The name Aldious is actually meant to be a contraction of the phrase 'Ultimate Melodious', so I think it would be fair to describe them overall as melodic metal. Re:NO, Marina (drums) and Toki (pink guitar) typically dressed in a Age-jō style with big hair, which is a more hostess orientated offshoot of the gyaru/gal subculture, but also has less emphasis on fake tan/darker skin. Sawa (bassist) I would say dresses in the most moe kawaii fashion with her twin tails and in the earlier years dressed pretty similar to Miku from Band-Maid, only with a very pointy 5 string BC Rich Widow bass as a stark contrast to her outfit. The bass she's playing here is her signature ESP where the light up fret markers are actually cat paws. Yoshi the band leader/founder sometimes dresses prom dress girly, but she appears to be somewhat of a tomboy, so there's plenty of occasions where she'll dress more androgynous or even classic aggressive 80s metal all in leather. The black guitar she's playing here is an ESP F-Series, an early 00s design that you'd see quite a few gothic industrial groups playing as an alternative shape. Last video you saw her playing a Zemaitis, but she switches between guitars much more frequently than Toki and live is equally likely to be playing a PRS or a red Schecter.
