Where in the middle of the season. There are 13 episodes of this. Love Tomo and Rupa. They bring a distinct dinamic to the group. Tomo is a mix of Momoka and Nina with all the pros and cons of that. Rupa is the more mature sister that listen to everyone.

NittPicc, I really enjoy following this story with you as a viewer and as a narrator. Please keep it up. Don't worry about you appearance You just come across as a friend viewing an interesting story with a few of us in the room. That is a very comfortable, I'm sure, for many of us.

Nina is young, naive and idealistic to a fault. It's a double edged sword. Subaru is six months younger than her but far more cosmopolitan in her upbringing, so seems more mature/cultured for the most part, certainly by drummer standards. Rupa is the oldest band member and is about a year and half Momoka's senior, hence why she seems the most comfortable in her own skin, she definitely has patient & encouraging older sister vibes when it comes to her relationship with Tomo. By contrast Tomo is actually the youngest, being a little over a year younger than Subaru and very opinionated. Can't really say more without getting into spoiler territory. However one thing I can do now is link to the full length version of the Beni-Shouga song (Tomo & Rupa's vocaloid duo project), as you only hear snippets of during the episode, it's called 'Mind playing Fractal'. The songwriters from agehasprings (Kenji Tamai, Akito Takahashi & okoge in this case) didn't need to make it into a complete song, but the fact that they did makes the world building feels a little more immersive for that extra amount of effort in my opinion: https://youtu.be/H_zV9w4rWm8?si=EbYuO1kaObQiTsuH When you see their profile on Rupa's phone a little over four minutes into the episode, it shows Beni-Shouga as having 22,738 followers, which is actually higher than what Nina states Diamond Dust has at that time (though it might be comparing a YT type channel to a profile on a different platform, my Japanese isn't good enough to be certain). However even if they are direct online comparison figures, because they're a vocaloid duo who don't play live, their reach is more limited overall. Also I was today years old when I discovered that the anime episode titles each reference an existing Japanese rock song, apparently correlating to the events and themes of the episode. The title of this episode 'Hymn of the Stray' is a reference to the song "Hagure Mono Sanka" (はぐれ者賛歌) by Flower Companyz.

Budokan was the goal of my favorite idol group, first-generation BiS. BiS were the OG bad girls of the idol world, but unfortunately, they got banned by the Budokan before they could play there, so they held their final concert at Yokohama Arena instead. Nina recovering from oversinging also reminded me of that concert because BiS did 48 songs that night back-to-back with no talking between songs; they were afraid they would break down crying if they talked, so they saved that until the end.
