Hola Familia!

I'm sorry I've been quiet lately. I've been a pretty busy bee with finishing the school year, recording and then making sure my brother was comfortable when he got here last weekend. Also, I get a little bummed out when my brother leaves. We have so much fun and get on such a sibling high hanging out that once he leaves the house feels so empty (and too quiet, hah! Sorry NittBro😁).

I have a full week of teaching this upcoming week with a junior high band camp in the morning and private lessons in the afternoon. I have been waiting years to be a part of this camp and I finally am!

I'll shut up and get to the weekend line-up!

BAND-MAID SUNDAY:

JUST BRING IT

I know, I know...I'm skipping the Brand New Maid album. The reason for this is because I worked through this album extensively on Patreon with the musical score while listening to a studio and live version for all of the tracks. I figured since that feels complete, I should move on to Just Bring It. Also, my brother and I have another BAND-MAID reaction coming, but I need help from my editor first to make it look good, so please be patient until then!

PATREON EXTRAS:

Mr. Big - "Addicted To That Rush"

Here I am again diving into more of the guitar greats! I have heard this name before when talking to my guitar playing friends yet I have never dove into who is "Mr. Big." My friends will be excited to hear that I am finally checking them out. From what I understand Mr. Big was more popular in Japan and consisted of Paul Gilbert (Guitar), Billy Sheehan (Bass), Pat Torpey (Drums) and Eric Martin (Vocals).

KATATONIA - "Lilac"

I read that this was Doom/Prog metal...then I saw it was from Sweden...I was double sold. I don't know if I have listened to Doom metal before, but I have a brain that has a hard time distinguishing genres. As a former(?) goth kid, I think this is something that I will love. I can't wait!

BAND-MAID, PRIME - Special Talk, Vol.1+2 from BAND-MAID Tokyo Garden Theater Okyuji

I PROMISE we will get back to some music reactions to BAND-MAID, but after the US Tour video I really want to dive into the ladies more. I want to see them talk, discuss and connect with their audience. I know I am an audience member behind a screen, but I have been enjoying the jittery, shaky, excited butterfly feelings I get just listening to them...speak! I hope you guys don't mind. At some point, we will also dive into the other tour videos, but I have been dying to watch these on prime for a while.

ANIME REACTIONS:

Sound! Euphonium

Competition is 10 days away! The band is working hard and members want to be the BEST! I am here for this level of musicianship!

Girls Band Cry

Potential new members to the band? HECK YES! Nina strives for fame, while Momoka is hesitant. The mystery continues!

VIEWERS! I need your help!

I would Like to add a new anime to the line-up. Which one of these would you be interested?

Liz and the Blue Bird

Rock is a Lady's Modesty

I feel bad that I have been pretty quiet. I have been going to the gym a lot lately to decompress. I feel like I am experiencing a teensy bit of burnout, but it's nothing I haven't been able to work through. I promise to be more vocal after the next 2 weeks! Once band camp is over and my family vacation is done, I'll be more present!

Con Amor,💜NittPicc💜

You can't really watch Liz and the Blue Bird until after season 2 of Sound! Euphonium, as although it does work as a standalone film, it terms of the timeline it follows on from those events and leads into the 3rd movie, which then links it into season 3. So if you watch it now there'd be a significant time skip and it'll cause all kinds of confusion.

I'm all for Rock is a Lady's Modesty, since it's more a serie and you will be hearing the maid playing all along (seeing them also in a way via the mocap). And I have to say, even if the show is not story heavy (not like Girl Band Cry and all its drama), the musical part and visual used during it, are really worth it.

"Liz and the blue Bird" is part of the Sound Euphonium saga. You should not watch this till you finnish Sound Euphonium second season because the main characters are introduced in second season. "Rock is a ladys modesty" it becames an ok show. Just that. It's not Bad but it's no good either. It's ok. When there's music you can hear Akane and Kanami in all they glory but the rest is meh... "Just bring it" it's my favorite Maid album. Can't wait.

Okay! So wait for Liz and the Bluebird. I don’t know how I missed that it was part of the Sound! Euphonium saga. 😅

I see no pole ... er, um ... poll :p . I consider JBI a masterpiece as the girls brought everything they had to the first full album that contained (mostly) their music. While not written by them I love "So What?" which I used to make Akane's birthday tribute photo collage. It's a great driving song to get speeding tickets to :p . Mr. Big should inspire NittPicc to take advanced bass lessons ;) . In a few weeks if we are lucky we will see more of Billy Sheehan along with Steve Vai as David Lee Roth gives them both their big break into music. Mr. Big has toured Japan and even been covered by the Korean hard rock band DIH among other notables.

Great lineup as always Po! And I don't blame you for wanting to dive more into our 5 favorite ladies. I feel the same way. It's not just their music, which is awesome on it's own, but their personalities and their friendship and love for their fans really endear them to us. I highly approve NittPicc! And as always, more pet pics and much more NittBro Po!!
