Hola Familia!

Sorry for the late post. I had to finish up a graduation cake for a client...and yeah, I make cakes sometimes when someone asks me to.🎂 After I put the finishing touches on the cake, I decided to check out a Rough Riders game in Frisco. I got home late!

This week has been better. It was worrisome for a little bit this last week trying to get Jacen (cat) to eat his new food. After testing out many mixtures to suit his pallet, he finally decided on dry kibble with dehydrated chicken. He now has a blodd sugar monitor attached to him so I and the vet can keep track of his sugars. Hopefully this will help get him regulated! Anyway...!

Here's the line-up:

BAND-MAID Sunday:

The journey continues with "YOLO," but not the music video! I asked our friend Ohrenje if I could react to his US Tour 2023 LIVE fancam compilation video and I got his blessing for this and any other videos he has! I cannot wait to check this out!

PATREON Extras - patreon.com/nittpiccreacts

David Lee Roth - "Goin' Crazy" (Loco del Color)

When I saw the thumbnail for this video I was confused by the two orange men sitting there. I read that it's possible that this music video might not have aged well. I am very curious about this video, but I am more interested with David Lee Roth. I have heard that name before in the context of Van Halen (thanks Panic!). I am a fan of the works by Van Halen that my dad showed me, and supposedly this sounds more "Van Halen" than anything he was releasing at the time.

Jimi Hendrix - "All Along The Watchtower"

This suggestion I HAD to react to. I won't lie. I have heard this song before, but I've never heard Jimi Hendrix's version. I have heard Dave Matthews Band and Bob Dylan's versions. I'd say it's time for me to hear this version, no?

BAND-MAID, PRIME - "Don't You Tell Me" Kanami, Akane, Misa, & Miku self-covers

There is so much on PRIME that I haven't dug through, so we are going to check out videos that go along with the album we are going through. I am excited to see what antics Misa and Kanami get into. The video thumbnail tells me it's adorable!

ANIME Reactions:

Sound! Euphonium, Season 2

The drama unfolds about our flute player who wants to rejoin! As a flutist, drama is constantly circling us. 😅

Girls Band Cry

Episode 10 had no right to make me cry! On to episode 11! Almost done!

Rock is a Lady's Modesty

Look...I really like Otoha. Is it really that bad that she wants to be friends with Lilisa? I understand Lilisa's reasoning for trying to stay away, but their chemistry musically? INSANE.

Again, sorry for the late notification. I was just so beat last night after the game. I hope you all are having a great week and I'll see you Sunday!

Con Amor,💜NittPicc💜

P.S. I attached the picture of the cake if you'd like to see my amature skills!

Few days ago yt suggested me All along the watchtower by David Matthews band, so i thought you already heard that suggestion. I knew it from Battlestar Galactica, where they made it part of the story.

Andrew Hellebrand

Jimi Hendrix's version of All Along The Watchtower is a cover/adaptation/re-arrangement of Bob Dylan's song which is the actual original version. Dylan recorded & released his in November 1967 and the Hendrix version came out six months later in 1968.

This looks like the NittPicc time machine ... traveling back to hear DLR and Hendrix. The 2 orange men ... neither of which are Trump :p ... are David Lee Roth and producer Pete Angeles who has worked with Van Halen, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Slash, Hall & Oates and The Black Crowes - but I am giving too much away. You'll just have to read my commentary tomorrow ;) . Anything by Hendrix will be iconic :) . ... mmm, cake. There is another band we have not done :p .

NittPicc Reacts

So for once I’ve heard the original?! Lol. I feel like I’ve always heard a cover first. 😅 As you can see, my knowledge of Bob Dylan is lacking.

Andrew Hellebrand

My knowledge of Dylan isn't great either in fairness; I know him better culturally than musically, as well as through who he influenced in turn and was associated with. Jimi was a fan of Dylan's, he'd covered 'Like a Rolling Stone' at Monterey in 1967 and when the Jimi Hendrix Experience started working on their version of 'All Along The Watchtower' in January 1968, he had already been given a reel-to-reel tape of Dylan's unreleased recordings by publicist Michael Goldstein, who worked for Dylan's manager Grossman. Hendrix had a habit of covering material by artists he liked, he also famously performed the title track for 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' live only three days after The Beatles' album was released, with Paul McCartney and George Harrison in the audience.

Vlad the Maidiac

And Bob Dylan is still alive. And gives concert.

Charles Coleman

his is an awesome lineup! YOLO, DLR, Jimi Hendrix AND solo covers from the Maids? Count me in NittPicc! Please give my love to poor Jacen! I hope he feels better soon Po!

How much does a $1200 cake cost? 😀

Bill W

Jacen's a Texas cat. He probably wants brisket.

You know you can feed cats raw meat? You have to supplement a bit with extra vitamins, taurine and stuff - you should do your own research if you're considering it. But my girlfriend used to have cats on a raw meat diet (we used chicken, although I'm told chicken can sometimes be inflammatory) and it was very good for them - they put on noticeable amounts of muscle, became more active, and had very nice coats. It is a bit of a pain if you're making your own food (you'll need a meat grinder) and it's not the cheapest. Anyway, I don't know if it works for diabetic cats, but I can't imagine a diet with no added carbs in it would present any special problem vs. other diets.
