HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KANAMI "MINCHO!"

I cannot believe her birthday is a day after my brother's! I know I have been told this in the past, but now that it is here, I just now remembered! Thank you to all who reminded me as well!

I love a lot about this song. The feeling that I am being burned away to keep the best parts of me is what goes through my mind in this BAND-MAID song. What are your feelings and thoughts?

Love this song. Underrated gem. And you'll rarely see an audio track played the same way live. My favorite hidden gem is actually coming up in a couple weeks...Fate

Charles Coleman

Yes!!! Live watch Po!!! I'm in! Watching Kate was so much fun! And I highly recommend trying the 2018 Zepp Tokyo show. 11 out of 10!!

Bill Whitaker

Yes, the audio and video of the Studio Coast concert is amazing. Some of the best live recording I have seen. And, of course, the Maids put on a fantastic show. I have seen this concert many times, but I think I might be able to watch it one more time (this month).

Charles Coleman

Band Maid intros is one of the many things they do really well. Every Okyu-ji I've been to or streamed, they usually have at least a couple new intros for their songs.

Luis Arispe

In live performances is where Miku shines. In the studio versions she is so low in the mix that it seems she's not there.

Charles Coleman

Okay NittPicc, here are my hidden gems. First is one of only two covers they've ever done. Dawn Winery Theme form Genshin Impact. such a soulful, emotional rendition that really hit home big time. It was released after their 2022 US tour was announced and every time I heard it, it just gave me this incredible longing to be back with these women that we all loved and missed so much. It was playing in my head over and over on the flight to LA to go see them at Belasco and I struggled to not get emotional. The other 2 hidden gems for me are Hide and Seek (from the YOLO single?) and Flying High from Conqueror. Especially the last one.

Bill Whitaker

Yes. Flying High is a great song. Love Miku's cat scream. I also like Fate, which we should be hearing here soon.

Juan San

Hidden gems... oh Nittpicc, dozens more await you. The solo (or perhaps more accurately, the bridge) of this song works a bit like a three-piece puzzle. You've been listening to Kanami's guitar and MISA's bass; one of the times you listen to this wonderful piece again, you'll find Miku's guitar. What a wonderful album this is.

Juan San

In my opinion, their best hidden gem is Unfair Game. The song is the B-side of their single YOLO. Of course, it shares side with Matchless Gum, their second best hidden gem from that era.

Phaeron

When the one and only Band-Maid started to experiment a bit. 🤭 For me, it has a bit of a ‘Forbidden Tale’ vibe, which was to follow years later...

Charles Coleman

Ah! Glory, thanks for the correction. You have excellent taste!

Minchorules2809

Nittpic has already done that, I'm pretty sure

Minchorules2809

I get it, same, absolutely no skips, the greatest band of all time, love your work and taste in great music ❤️

Wayne B

Happy Birthday Mincho and Nit-Bro!

Wayne B

Did you notice Kanami singing during the chorus?

Glenner7

My hidden gem is Page - Miku's lyrics slay me every time. "Don't forget to love yourself!"

Juan San

Right!. December 8th on YT. I had to check the Discord database to remember.

NittPicc Reacts

I dig those intros into the songs. They add a great heightened feeling effect to the song coming up. It feels like I should try and guess what's coming but I feel like I'm always wrong. Lol

Charles Coleman

do you have the DVD/Blu-ray for the Yokohama Arena show? they had some really great intros. Including your favorite - Daydreaming and my favorite - Freedom. Both were awesome in their own special ways. check them out if you get the chance! The whole 3.5 hour show was unreal!!!

Eaglez1

Some of those Yoko songs should, maybe, will be upcoming soon 🤫

Happy Freight Dawg

Hidden gems: How about all of their B-side sleepers! Smile is one of my absolute favourites!

Ethan

All the videos that you can't find anymore on YouTube etc., this makes me so happy.

Ethan

19:15 absolutely. A lot of my favorites are not the ones that are pushed for reactions. I think there are just songs that people think are "better suited" for reactions whether or not that's actually the case. One and Only was one of my original favorites
