This show is my comfort show.

It's a warm cup of coffee and a snack for me. It feels like home. Watching these characters be funny and have an overall lovely relationship with each other makes me feel like there is hope for humanity. I know it's just an anime, but honestly this show makes me believe in people.

Recruiting for the future of the club is very important, but with the others graduating after this year, Azusa decides she is happy with just the 5 of them.

K-on is indeed a comfort show. Like most in the slice of life genre, I think it's perfect to watch at the end of a long week. To answer your question, I wished I committed to a club instead of changing during after 1st & 2nd year. Learning new things was nice, but that meant I didn't really experience the community aspect of it because I had to adapt to a new environment each year.

"Kouhai" it's the opposite of a senpai. It means junior colleague, apprentice. In the school enviroment, a kouhai is an underclassmen and a senpai an upperclassmen.

For the question, I definitely wish i dedicated myself more to music because i loved playing in the school orchestra even though i wasnt great. I played in the pit for the schools beauty and the beast play my senior year (2 weeks before covid hit!) and that was definitely the most fun thing i did in terms of after school activities in HS. Its funny you made note of the shot of Yui's legs and how they were drawn. Shots of legs like that is actually a signature of director Naoko Yamada. She is of course the series director of the whole show (so she is the final creative say on all parts of the production), but she also personally episode directed and story boarded this particular episode along with some of the other really important episodes in the show (which means she has more direct creative control over the production rather than simply overviewing the production). She is practically synonymous with shots of legs. Famously, she once said that "a girl's legs are a window to their soul." Keeping with that, her focus is in expressing a character's emotions and personality through detailed and small body movements in places other than their facial expressions. She is so unbelievably good at this, and its what makes her my favorite director ever. Apart from K-ON, you would recognize her work in some episodes of S1 Euphonium, as well as the entirety of Liz and the Blue Bird, which I consider her masterpiece. So if you see a particularly large amount of shots focusing on legs in a given episode, then you know who was responsible
