This song gives me SUNSHINE.

It's been icing all day outside. Not one ray of sunshine is coming through those clouds that are sending a constant stream of little chips of cold ice to the ground.

This song reminds me that no matter how gloomy the day, week or month might be...there's always SUNSHINE waiting for me when the grey skies go away. BAND-MAID is a constant reminder that I will be okay and that I can keep going.

If the Maids can do it, I can do it too!

This pre-concert and post-concert video is proof that these Maids ARE SERIOUS professional musicians. Pre-concert they ARE LOCKED IN. Post-concert, their demeanor is a lot more light-hearted.

Magnetism. That's the word to define Saiki at this moment in her career. And it's certainly one of the band's strongest points right now. And it's definitely impossible to grasp the full sound of their songs on the first listen; you have to listen to the recording a couple of times and the live performance a couple of times to really get a good percentage of what's going on down there.

On the Band-Maid prime website (subscription) there are 8 movies you need to see. End of year party 1&2, new years party 1&2, and 4 vids where Kanami, Miku and Seiki discuss the making of Scooooop. 2 songs at a time. In their review of Lock and Load Seiki mentioned that during the live performance, as she played keyboards, she was facing Akane. Akane was smiling and laughing so much Seiki had trouble maintaining her image of being cool.

The stuff they are signing are for raffles. When purchasing merch you can get entries, or I think you can purchase entries separately. The box you saw Kanami and Akane signing was Kanami’s pedalboard case used on the last US tour. Somebody at the show won it.

One of the things I find interesting is watching them seeing the stage for the first time. Like the Yokohama show, or the Line Cube Shubiya (2) shows, this stage set was designed, built, and used once. Only for this show in this venue.

The signed Kanami pedal board case was the grand prize of the lottery and was won by a young lady, who was spotlighted during the MC. The signed Band-Maid logo bluejeans and posters were also the big prizes. The lottery is 1000 yen per draw and I was going to buy one or two along with the hoodies and T-Shirts. As I saw almost everyone in front of me buying 10 or so lottery tickets, I wound up buying 5 and won a metal Band-Maid logo military style dog tag, a leather key chain, leather Omamori (amulet for luck and protection) and two Kanami stickers. For me it was well worth it.

I recommend being in the Dawn Patrol to get anywhere near the stage during the show. There is usually a fan get together sometime before or after the show for drinks and stories!

Hoping they come to the DMV area again but will travel also. Dallas def an option. Have a feeling this'll be a major city hub tour, no out of the way places. Don't expect date announcements until early March. That's usually when Lollapalooza and Aftershock lineups are public. Expect them to play one of them.
