I am sure all of you have seen the email sent out about BAND-MAID taking a hiatus from touring and live concerts for 2027 by now.

I cannot express how grateful I am for them to tour one more time before they take a break. I'm starting to feel like I was supposed to find the MAIDS at the time I was introduced to them.

This just means I HAVE to see them this year in the biggest way possible!

OCTOBER better be ready for this girl to see BAND-MAID!

Kanami was referring to the death of her grandmother. As usual, Kanami didn’t tell Kobato what she was thinking when she wrote the music. Kobato’s lyrics were written when thinking about a manga artist she loved and respected who committed suicide after a particularly toxic experience when making one of her stories into a TV show, if I recall the details correctly. Miku said that normally she would have a positive message at the end of the song, but this time she wanted to leave it on a more somber note. Not sad, per se, but still acknowledging the loss and accepting it. You probably already know that all five members participated in singing the “oh” part. A funny story was that they decided to have Misa sing the lower part with Saiki because she sounded so cute singing higher, which I don’t think Misa appreciated.

I really liked this song when I heard upon release, saw the live stream and loved it, something about Saiki's voice during "slower" songs gets me every time. So, this was preceded by The One and followed by Forbidden Tale. The One brings tears every time and Forbidden Tale does the same sometimes, both are songs that I enjoy. My understanding is that on the recorded version that the background vocals were all of them - yes Misa does sing on occasion. I hope you get the opportunity to see them; the vlog will be epic :). I am hoping for Budokan Tickets, both shows and since I will be in Japan late March early April if I get a ticket for April 11, I will extend my trip - in between those shows who knows.

On Prime you have the "self liner notes" videos from SCOOOOOP; I think the third part is where they explain Sion. Kanami had that melancholic melody since her grandmother's death and suggested it for the song. She never tells Miku what to write, but the music moved her deeply at the time of the death of a close friend (a manga artist, I think she was Hinako Ashihara), so the song ended up being a requiem. According to t-shinji: "SION is the Japanese word 紫苑 (shion), the flower Aster tataricus, or Tatarian aster, whose cultural meaning is 'I won't forget you.'" This is one of Saiki's best works, in my opinion. When she learned the meaning and importance of the music and lyrics, she prepared herself thoroughly to give her best. Between friends: It's precisely these things that make Band Maid the best band in the world.

Gotta fit "Sion" in there now!

There is always mics in front of all the band members with maybe the exception of Akane. Most of the time the mics are there so Miku and Kanami can sing from any position on the stage, but as this song shows, all of Band-Maid's members can sing and sing well!

Talk about lullaby, I was actually added SION as another lullaby after PAGE for my self. If you got sometime go back and listen to SION (this live) again but with 1 more song THE ONE which comes before SION. (I believe you already did reaction/listen to THE ONE studio version). Not for reaction but when you have time and on your own. I recommend you watch “Self- liner Note’ on Prime after you done with SCOOOOOP. SION is MIKU Favourite.

If after hearing this, you're not moved, you have no heart, no soul!

This song soothes the savage beast within my soul. It leaves me with a feeling comfortable numbness that I really welcome. Is this Zen? I don't know, but I love it.
