I have been told with both "Angel Beats!" and "FLCL" to just enjoy it even if there is chaos.

...and oh my gosh. More chaos! I was thrown off by our robot taking to the sky like a little angel, but he had some wings and a halo...so I guess it's not that weird?

I will say that I think I may be reading too much into some of the things in this show, but I really want to form thoughts about what I am seeing.

Honestly, the confusion that I am experiencing while watching the show reminds me of my teenage brain that was constantly struggling with what feelings I was actually feeling. All I knew was the difference between right and wrong and I wanted to be a good person. I wanted people to like me.

The battle? That was my favorite part!

With Takkun being eaten, the robo turning red and Takkin coming out as "shit", I always assumed that this scene represented the letting go to the anger when your are a kid/teen. Feeling eaten alive by your emotions, lashing out, then feeling like shit when your calm again, it was I was thinking the few first time i've seen this scene when I was younger. I still think it's part of it, but you also have the desire to protect someone and show off that could be mixed in it. There is a lot to interpret and reading in it, which is also part of the fun in all this chaos. Also, yeah, with the girl that is in the same class of Takkun, Mamimi who is slighty older and Haruko who is an adult, they all represent in a way, what Takkun is right now. He is a child, but since his brother isn't here anymore to be the middle ground with the adults, he feel like he need to grow up to be more like his brother, and with how irrespinsible his father is, he also feel like he need to be the adult in the room. That represent pretty well what it is to be a kid/teen, on the edge of adulthood, but not there yet, in my opinion.
