I am learning that I need to react to this anime at the end of the week to even out my anime emotions.

I would sometimes record this with the other anime I watch on hiDIVE in the week , but I learned I need this at the end of the week.

I used to cut my own bangs when I was in elementary school. I feel Yui in this episode. When I’m looking for a change I immediately go to my hair. It will always grow back or if I dislike it. It just depends on how long I’m willing to live with it.

Any rough haircuts you remember? Hah!

im the type to always get the same haircut to make sure im never miserable for a week or two with a bad haircut... Also i think poor yui's hair looks REALLY rough in this episode..... since nittpicc brought it up, little japanese lesson! "daijoubu" (pronounced die - joe - boo) is a pretty versatile word but for the most part it usually just means "ok" or "all right/good". in that scene where nittpicc was questioning how it meant "im ok" and also "are you ok" at the same, both girls literally just said "ok". The difference between the two is actually one you cant directly hear. This is because in japanese, you dont ever actually have to say what the subject is in your sentence. Subjects always exist, but they can usually be left out because they're implied through context! So when ui see's that azusa forgot to tie her hair, and she says "daijoubu?" or literally JUST "ok?" in a questioning tone, its obvious she means "Are you ok?" and not anything else. And when azusa replies back in an affirming tone "daijoubu", its obvious she means "im ok!". English does this to an extent, but its to a FAR greater extent in japanese, and comes up a ton in plenty of spoken language past this one example

Should be, properly, "Daijobu des ka?" "Daijobu desu." What I absolutely adore about Japanese short phrases is that thing "So desu ka..." "So desu ne..." You can make a very long and very meaningful conversation with just these two phrases. Like they did in "Mirai Nikki" anime, where the daughter of the God, in a form of a five-year old girl, sits at a table with the supervisor of an orphanage, and tells her that her father never really loved her. And the supervisor is saying thoughtfully, "So desu ka...", shaking her head understandably. And that little demon five-year old shakes her head in response, "So desu ne..." And they sit like this for a minute or two, repeating these two phrases and shaking their heads. "Oh, so that's how it is..." "Yeah, that's how it is..." For each one, there are certain thoughts going through their heads, and while the supervisor imagines she understands the condition of that girls, of course she has no clue who's in front of her. Which makes the whole scene absolutely gorgeous.
