It was fun to lovely to see Jinshi as "The Moon Fairy." He did an absolutely lovely job!

Now...for the show that the envoy was invited to...it was cringy to listen to one of the cousins talk to the emperor. You can tell that she has ulterior motives. Maybe the mirrors were a challenge to the consorts?

Maomao figuring out how to make the fairy replication was such a pro level move.

I am worry that she is going to get in trouble for her medicine making though...!

You're right, they said the envoys came from the west so it's easy to guess that they might be european, especially since Maomao used "Diana" for the moon godess, which is a roman godess, her greek equivalent is Artemis. They're is also another roman godess for the moon called Luna, which is Selene in greek. I tell you that because I know you love Sailor Moon and the two cat that are with the sailors are Luna, the black one and Artemis, the white one. Nothing to say much for this episode, but the next one will be fun I can tell you that ^^.

In the universe of this show, the Kingdom of Li resemblence of China, so if you take that in notice, the envoys could be of somewhat Russian origin because of the names and the appearance....but, when they ask Maomao about the "Moon fairy" they talk in Turkish. As usual, the level of bread crums that the author include in the dialogs are masterful. Many are coming from season 1 that are not yet resolved and many are new information.

It would be cool if the old lady and Maomao team up to have the clinic be more effective with women running it and teaching other women their medical skills and insights.

I'm playing catch up, so realise this response is months later. But I've always thought that the envoys were from the fictional fantasy equivalent of the Byzantine Empire, being both a large chunk of the Eastern portion of the former Roman Empire which could give them partial European and/or Hellenic lineage, sharing some Russian type aesthetics via the Greek Orthodox as opposed to Russian Orthodox church (they developed separately for hundreds of years due to the conquests of Genghis Khan causing a literal geographical isolation/separation) and being the gateway to the Silk Road for trading from Europe via the capital Byzantium (now modern day Istanbul in Türkiye).
