Who's our new character? He seemed like a real hero at first, but when he groveled at Frieren's feet for help, I wasn't so sure anymore about our "dragon man."

Eisen talked highly of him but said that he was just like him.

Frieren seems to believe in this kid, so I guess she is going to work with him to get the book out of the nest.

I cannot wait to see where this part of the story goes!

Things are never how they first appear.

Now that Stark is n the picture we can talk about the characters and what their german based names means: - Frieren: "To freeze" or "feeling cold" - Fern: "Remote" or "distant" - Stark: "Strong" or "tough". - Himmel: "Sky" or "Heaven" - Heiter: "Cheerful" or "bright" - Eisen: "Iron"

One thing I love about this show is how cyclic it is, you're just at episode 5 so you don't really see it for now, but you will. All things come around and actions have made ripple that goes around too. You've already seen that with "it was what Himmel the hero would've done", the fact that Frieren have changed because of this 10 years and the impact that Himmel and the others had on her, so you will see for the rest of the season. About Flamme begging for her life, it will not be said directly, but you will understand later why Frieren said that. As for my fav hero, it's a hard question, there is a lot of western superheroes that I like, but a lot of japanese ones too. But for a western point of view, I would choose someone from DC comics since I'm more a DC than Marvel kind of person, and possibly Raven from the teen titans, not neceraly the one we had in the cartoon from the 2000, but in general.

Can confirm that the first season has the best OP/ED.

Then yeah! If you’re able to watch the reactions, then you paid the $10! I see the $25 on YouTube!

Same as with Apothecary Diaries, there's plenty of foreshadowing in the opening credits that you don't understand initially but then can more sense with context as you get further into the storyline (the example of the split screen moment before the flower crown, with Frieren as the point of commonality between the past & present has been explained prevously). Understandably you're usually focused more on bopping to Yoasobi but there's lots of little clues if you look hard enough.

Eisen taught stark how to fight but he’s never fought a monster zero battle experience he’s super strong but doesn’t believe in himself 😅

I love that line from Eisen, "That one one-hundredth changed you."
