I had heard about VTubers before, but I had only known them to be streamers that have cute avatars. I don't know why they have the avatar, but I assume it's because they feel more comfortable as a character than as a human being on camera.

...and honestly, I get it!

Also, the level of talent behind this project is great!

Yes, Ironmouse is a Vtuber, she was for a time associated with VShojo, but she debuted as an indie Vtuber and VShojo let her keep the right to her persona and model (but the story end badly with Vshojo managership being really bad and a lot of money lost... i won't say much, there is already enough on the interenet about that). And also yes, Bae is a mouse/rat, she is called "rat" by Kobo, another member of hololive but from the indonesian branch. For Bae, having seen a picture of her real face, i can say that she have asian ancestry for sure, she even joked about being taken for a japanese in a plane because she is fluent in it (the japanese members even tease her by saying her english is very good for a JP holo member). But she didn't know corean, WON AGAIN written the lyrics in this language and she had to learn it. I don't remember exactly from where, but she said she had origine from asia, not korean nor japan, it may be china, in the end, she have asian dna for sure. Another things to know about the joke about her, because she's being teased a lot, by other members and her chat, the Baerats (pronounced brats). She is pretty short (1,49 m or 4'11), her australian accent is also being teased and being australian, sometine she is presented at 180° because she is from the other side of the earth ^^'. She is also pretty thirsty for some kind of men, or rather, down bad would be the best expression to say, like Leon Kenedy from the last Resident Evil game or some character from the Yakuza series, for that she is often teased as the "forever single" one lol. About the recording, having seen a tour in the Cover studio, the place where a lot of Hololive stuff in japan are recorded, it is not with the mocap for sure, but camera record everything in the some room to instantly put it in Vtuber form, some are more advanced than other and it depends of what they want to record. To end and while talking about Snake Eyes, this was a big hit and helped remind everyone that Bae is a great singer, it also made evryone goes feral.... after the back-up dancer lol. Another exemple of teasing Bae, because yeah, in this MV she is hot and she know it, she play with it, but instead of playing the game, her chat only talked about the back-up dancer.

There are a couple streamers that started by using a face cam then went to a vtuber setup. The most popular one I can think of is the voice actress Amanda Lee (Amalee). She mostly does anime VA but does some game work as well here and there. She's the English lead of My Dressup Darling. The other streamer is Brooke Lawson (Dodger). She actually started on YouTube back in 2012 as Presshearttocontinue but has gone into vtubing so that her daughter can bug her while streaming and she isn't doxxing her daughter when she does.
