So cool to see this voted into rotation!! Little fun fact history; the reason Phillip was to kneel at the Coronation wasn't specifically because he was her husband, but rather as the most senior ranking Royal Duke. For King Charles Coronation (the most recent in British history), it was Prince William; his eldest son who would kneel. I think the main reason Philip took offense, is because when a King is Coronated, the spouse (the wife) is also anointed and crowned, becoming Queen Consort (and therefore doesn't kneel to the King). Because a King ranks higher than a Queen, there is no King Consort, which is why he is "Prince Philip." Since a Prince can't be anointed and crowned, Philip as a Prince/Duke has to kneel, just like William later would do for his father. So to get inside his head for a moment; he is one of very few spouses to a Monarch who is not crowned and anointed, but instead has to take a subservient position of kneeling. He's living in a time where the patriarch outranks the matriarch, but in his family it's the opposite way around. And although he wasn't exactly next in line to the Greek throne, he was a Prince in his own right prior to the overthrowing of the Greek Monarchy, and now only holds the "lesser" title of Prince Consort, through marriage. That being said, there's actually zero evidence he really did challenge the act of kneeling, and as a Prince in his own right, he likely understood the traditions and accepted them willingly. Fighting to televise the ceremony is factual, as were many of the other challenges we've seen so far, and will see in future episodes.
