I love how this show winds two seemingly unrelated ideas to parallel each other in pretty much every episode. You had Churchill, her prized Prime Minister who served under her father aging and nudging into retirement, and the prized horse, brought in under her father and now being put into retirement from racing. But then they go a step further and bring in another parallel, with the horse now becoming the stud, a parade of mare to tempt him, Then Elizabeth becoming suspicious of her husbands constant late night antics, perhaps imagining a parade of women vying for his attention.
