I liked the first 2 episodes of the season, I've enjoyed the new characters introduced so far even Tashigi, who your not as sold on, I kind of find her similar to Koby but a little more, goofy I guess, with things like her little happy dance. Also when she went through the doors, she wasn't just walking in without knocking, she was trying to listen in at the door like Koby would do in season 1, but she's not as good at it as he is and she fell through the doors. I don't think the show is that much different from season 1, the only things I feel have really changed is it's a little lighter, in tone and lighting and everything, which I think is because the crew have opened up and connected, especially Nami, after being able to deal with her trauma in season 1, she's a lot lighter this season, smiling more and trusting Luffy and the crew a lot. The other difference is everyone got some extra muscles this season, they were all working out a lot to prepare for this season and I know the actress who played Alvida went through a major transformation to match her character's changes after she ate the Slip Slip Fruit. I hope the episodes pick up for you a little more as the season continues, so you can enjoy it as much as you did in season 1, great reaction, I look forward to the next one. Also, I feel like I have to mention the scene I thought was great, with Zoro and Nami. Where Zoro was talking about poking the punching bag looking thing and Nami said the Uvula and Zoro says, "So it's a girl whale" and Nami just stares at him, I thought that was hilarious.
