So now we want YOUR takes.

Did you love it? Hate it? Somewhere in the middle?

What worked for you? What didn’t?

I landed somewhere in the middle. The reviews were so bad that I just waited for it to come out on digital, so I went in with low expectations but still wanted to like it. There were some really good moments. I liked the flashbacks, the acting was good, and Milly Alcock was great as Kara. Her chemistry with David Corenswet was also really good and honestly gives me hope for Supergirl with Superman in the future. But there were just too many lows. The middle was mostly meh, and the villain was meant to come across as ruthless, but his look and demeanour just felt kinda silly to me. Ruthye and especially Lobo just felt like they were there. Lobo in particular felt like a checkbox of "Jason Momoa always wanted to play Lobo, so here you go." He's not even in the source material the movie is based on, so he was just shoehorned in, and you could honestly remove him and not much changes. I don't think the movie is as bad as the internet makes it seem, but it's definitely not good either. It's the kind of movie you can skip, read about what happened and be fine because you really didn't miss much. Thank god, LANTERNS has started great because the first 2 episodes already feel completely different with the whole detective-style mystery mixed in with the superhero genre. I'm making it my mission to get it into next month's rollout lol.

I watched it in theaters and I thought it was horrible, but I rewatched it at home and I thought it was ok, there were just a lot of plot holes and the action sucked. I love Jason Momoa Lobo, but he added nothing to this movie. The superman stuff and the flashbacks to Krypton were the only really good parts in my opinion.

I saw it opening night and I felt let down by it, but I’m a huge fan of Krypto so I was hoping for more Krypto. I liked the world building a lot when it came to Krypton but I was hoping for more and I’m a little pissed off that supergirl offered a chance for a female-led superhero movie (Wonder Woman is my favorite DC character) that wasn’t relying on like Harley Quinn or Catwoman but I feel it got some disrespect because of that. I think there was a Batgirl movie that got shelved which would have made a nice alternative to the Cher/Silverstone Batgirl I did however love Rutheye and thought the actress did well for her first movie role

I am looking forward to Clayface later this year though :) Clayface as well as ManBat has been a Batman villain I've wanted to see done right for a while now
