Fun fact; Mary Shelly spent a couple of summers in my home town, and credited it with her inspiration for Frankenstein. Back in the early 1800's it was a very industrial city with gothic architecture. She stayed by the riverfront and claims she was inspired by her walks through the city. Fun fact 2; Lord Byron is the real life father of Ada Lovelace, often credited as the first computer programmer, and the one we met in this seasons two part intro. Not so fun fact; The Doctor telling everyone to stay where they are because she doesn't want to see any of them turned into a Cyberman feels like a massive nod to Bill, her most recent companion before this trio, who of course was turned into the first ever Cyberman.
