Alright, writing update time. This should be relatively sparse, since last month was busy....

Let's see...

A Thousand Li & Celestial Cataclysms

The Fourth Wall, A Thousand Li Book 12 has been out for nearly 5 months now. If you haven't caught up on the completed series, you really should!

Celestial Cataclysms 1 - Immortal Connections - is on a speeded up release schedule. We have some chapters of book 2 written, we're going to do more of that very soon (probably January of next year); but we shall see. There's enough that we won't be having a break between posting for too long, I think.

Ace Book's exclusive The First War, A Thousand Li book 3 short story was written and submitted. Waiting to get feedback and edits on that, looking over the book 2 first pass proofs and anything the proofreader might catch this month and going from there.

System Apocalypse

The third anthology is out! Go get it, if you haven't read any of my shorts before or want some exclusive shorts from our co-authors. Lots of fun, loving some of the stories that were added to this. We didn't solicit widely for this one, just because of how busy I am these days.

I've finished the dev edits for everything that Jason has done for Dropout (Liberty book 2); so we're expecting a release for that next year. Still got a little bit of the ending to clean up, some story reshaping and then there's copy edits and proofs, so lots of work.

Craig's working on book 4 but his real life job is kicking his ass, so it's slowly being worked on. Sorry, no further updates!

Dungeon Brawler

Second book is written (first draft); but I got to go back and fix it. Now that I've edited Dropout, I have a bit more brainpower available for editing. I have one more editing project to finish first though (see below); but once that's done, I'll be able to edit DB 2 and probably get onto writing DB 3.

Release of DB 1 is definitely for September(ish) and DB 2 January-ish. Hopefully get book 3 ready for soon after actually, though we shall have to see.

Unnamed Trad Project

I have to get edits done by end of this year. I'm 1/4 of the way through, was meant to be much further along but... I got ill. More about that below. Can't speak much f this since it hasn't even been announced... sighs I love trad in many ways but this aspect, not so much.

Other Projects

Random short found that was 3/4 written. I want to read through it again, finish writing it. I don't recall enough to write it without reading it to get details, so it's on the 'to do' pile.

I have 3 different workshops/seminars to write for events. 1 is done, though has to be plugged into PowerPoint. The other 2 are going to take a LOT more work, so that'll be fun... One will be fun though, because it's contracts and I'm going to be taking a lot of screenshots. That'll be the 'fun' project when I have time next year.

I started a new series. Don't shoot me, I'm not doing much on it (it's like 1k long); but I'm actually having fun with it. I think it could be a REALLY good series, with some interesting ideas. We shall see.

On a personal note

I got ill last month, towards the end. One whole week, down with COVID. I'm still recovering, completely exhausted when I wake up. No energy, no desire to do much. I have too much not to work; even taking the entire week off was a bad idea, but necessary.

I'm hoping I can finish the projects I need done, but as it stands, I'm at 740k words written for the year. I kind of want to hit 80k... so I might try to do a sprint session or two just to get words down as fast as possible, even if it's in one of my side projects. :P
