I got back all the proofread copies of the anthology. I need to get the edited front cover, now that I've confirmed everyone and have their bios and pen names. Once that's done, I'll post the cover for all of you to see.

I am writing a story that ties all the books together, so I have to get that done. It's not really too hard, so I figure I'll have everything ready for Nov 1. I want to put the entire thing up for pre-order too.

6 stories, 5 new writers and me. All of them are great (in my opinion). I'm looking forward to seeing the reaction. The entire thing is around 90k words, of which my story is only around 10k. So, the entire cost of the anthology is up there ($4,800 or so just on payment to writers, not including editing / proofing & cover).

I'm debating what to do about the audiobook. I can get it done by Tantor but their offer is incredibly low. On the other hand, they've promised to do multiple voices (i.e. one voice actor per story) which is really cool.  The other option is me finding someone else to do the entire series. Not sure I'm going with my current people (Nic has no time, so I'd have to find someone new...).

Thoughts on the audiobook?

Very excited to read the whole story, even more excited to listen to it. I like the idea of separate voices, and I get that Nick is busy, but it would be awesome if he could squeeze in Debts & Dances. Otherwise getting someone like Kyle McCarley, Travis Baldree, or Jeff Hays to voice the compilation would be awesome. Not sure if they, or she do work for Tantor, but it would be sick to have Andrea Parsneau do Tooth & Claw - loved her gritty drake voices in The Wandering Inn. #pipedreams

Andrea's amazing, she did such a good job with The Wandering Inn. She and Pirate Aba are a match made in heaven.

You could consider Christian Gilliland for one or more of the audiobook stories. Does good voices and is just starting out.
