Hi newcomers! I haven't done a newbie welcome post in a bit, so hi!

Let mek now if you have questions or anything.

For patrons who have been around for a bit, thanks for sticking around.

I know the Hidden Wishes series isn't the most popular, but if anyone wants to read the first 2 books and haven't bought the books yet, feel free to ping me and I'll send the files over. :) A Jinn's Wish should be done by the end of the month.

This will be the last book in the series for a number of reasons. There are a lot of flaws in the series, many of which I've come to understand since I started writing; so putting the series to bed will be for the better. It's not as if I don't have a million and one ideas.

Nick has finished recording book 6, it's currently being checked over and fixes made. I am hoping it releases soon. Book 7 was meant to record end of December, but Nick's like... a month behind, so I expect that'll likely be end January / early February before it gets recorded.

The anthology is currently being recorded and worked on. I have like... 3? stories recorded. Waiting for the rest to get done. Tentatively all the recordings are meant to be done by Nov 30.

I'm also going to update the way the Patreon system works in a bit, with patron's with more expensive memberships getting more chapters ahead. I'm also looking into other options to make higher tiers better including other forms of merchandise and the like. We'll see. No guarantees since some of that, I'll be leaving to a VA to help out on.

Next book after this will be book 3 of A Thousand Li, the First War. I am looking forward to working on that book, so much to wrie. I have a rough outline in my head, but as always, the story will be what it decides to be.

Questions, comments, etc?

Would love to see some of the world building and behind-the-scenes ideas you come up with for series like SA and A Thousand Li. As in, things you have to come up with like races, countries, classes, spells, skills, locations etc that you need to know for writing the stories but don't necessarily need to be written in the books. Not presented in a short story format or anything, more just info dumps and ramblings so it's not something you have to spend much time working on to take away from your writing time :)

Sounds good, though tentatively worried about patreon changes, depending on what they are.

I notice that for all of your chapter releases you post a link to your site to read it. Is there a reason you do it this way instead of copy and pasting it into the Patreon post? Edit: just re-read my comment and I realized it could be taken as me saying one way is better than the other. I don't mean it like that. I am honestly curious if there are rules or something preventing you from posting like that? or maybe you type it out on your site and posting a link is easiest for you? Just curious about it as the few other authors I follow just post their chapters straight on patreon

Patreon has a weird T&C. It's a little too undefined and might be read as me giving them rights to use anything I post for their own intentions. Rather than face that miniscule risk, I figured reposting to my site is better.

Meh. The biggest negative is that people with a higher level of access will have more chapters to read, but you'll all still get the chapters eventually. It won't even be a huge thing - you'll still see 2 /3 chapters a week, just that one week when I figure it out, the people with 10/20 chapters will get 4/6 chapters or something. Exact number pending. Other than that, I'm hoping to make merchandise to give out. Those can also be bought seperately if I figure things out. But again, things to do later.

*LOL* Ah... hmmm.... I'll have to look into that. A lot of stuff I have for SA is documentation and what not, but because it has a bunch of 'secrets' mixed in, putting it out would give hints about future stories later.I'll probably do a dump when we're close to the end of the series. For A Thousand Li, it's mostly bullet point things like 'Warring State period', 'Qin dynasty', 'Legalist form of government', or stuff like 'define time period for warring states'. I haven't built out a huge world yet - I'm a bit of a pantser. I draw for A Thousand Li from history a lot, so I just make notes of which eras / points of history to mix-in and then sketch it out in the books itself in more detail. If that makes sense.

Ahh that's fair enough, I'm a planner myself so I have little tid bits here and there about anything I think I might need later and am likely to forget haha
