Makes me want to read this book even more!

I’m curious as to sword length, I always thought his blade was long - since the style he uses tends toward a longer sword, right? Just wanted clarification

A Jian is typically between 18 to 31 inches in length if it's a one handed blade. Or 45 to 80 centimeters for you other people 🙄 🤔. So there is a lot of variations. And that's if we don't look at the two hand variation that goes up to 63 inches in length or again for those special people 1.6 meters. The Long Family Sword Style is just the description style of stances and movements. Similar to how karate and other martial arts have different names for similar stances Hopefully that helps. And doesn't add further confusion

I also pictured the sword as longer. Still a cool picture.

Firstly - covers are meant for 'feel' rather than accuracy. Secondly - he actually has quite a few. I think I mention he's using the 'soldiers' jian which is much shorter and wider right now. Due to the lack of terminology, the jian actually is pretty much any one handed straight sword, so you see a LOT of variation in its length / size / weight.

Mostly used this as an opportunity to ask, it’s a beautiful cover. The feel is definitely there. Thanks for the answer people, just was brain / eye disconnect I wanted clarity for
