No New Chapters Today (Patreon)

Okay. It doesn't happen very often, but, every once in a while, even I have a day where I just can't get my head in the right space to write. I can often get around it by switching to a non-Unintended Cultivator project and working on that for an hour or two. Today, though, everything I tried to write was just lifeless, uninspired crap. I couldn't bring the funny with Terry. I couldn't bring the serious with Sen. I couldn't find the middle ground with James. So, there will be no fresh chapters of anything today.

Some of it was just tiredness. I had a bout of insomnia last night, so my brain really was running on fumes today. The other part was a less than pleasant interaction I had with a now former subscriber to this page. They were kind of dickish in the comments, which has inspired me to reinstate the no comments policy on Unintended Cultivator for a while and put me in a bad mood for the whole day. Apparently, not satisfied with that, they direct messaged me to take another pass with the dickishness. That aggravated me even more. It turns out that being very tired and angry is not awesome for my creative process.

At any rate, I'm going to try to get a full night of sleep and see if the creative juices aren't flowing a little better in the morning.
