(Dragon prince season 4 spoilers!)

I didn't like 4th season of The Dragon Prince :c And I'm glad that many of you agree with me haha. Like, how?? I mean it's always so frustrating and WEIRD, if there are same writers (I haven't checked though), how people who start shows like voltron or this, when it's written so brilliant, then turn the plot into some boring, unlogical mess with empty drama, with poor character understanding etc... UGH

maybe, I dunno, they were told that stop it ffs, too much sexy elf, remake everything you've made and make a season for kids, haha

as one of patrons mentioned - why did Claudia had less chemistry with Terry (who I like a lot) than Viren and Terry lmao

my own BIG question - why Callum and Ezran didn't even bother to ask Reyla about her home? What did she do last years when she was away? Her main theme and drama were about her family and that she can't return to other elves, but so much has change? And whaaat? She still wasn't able to return? You want to say Ethari wouldn't let her in and forgive her? And the rest of them? Because whole point was in dragon death and the egg and revenge etc etc

Soren and lame jokes. Just lame. I love Soren being a naive dork, but that doesn't mean that he is stupid, it's so different...

Aaravos... I didn't even like the scene where he appeared lol, it was so much too straight forward I'M A BAD BAD BAAAD GUY AHAHA YOU WILL LOSE I WILL WIN :))) Lame! AAAARGH It's just so lame for him! He is so sneaky and acts so delicately!

the CREATURE, the fucking creature, the WHOOOLE idea is stupid, the whole point of existing this thing, and why it's even needed is to find clues for Aa's location. BUT it's not even some magic artefacts that creature could magically sense! It's just objects! And if Aaravos knew about them he could just tell about it! How and where and what items are located! It's so stupid тт 

Whole part with sunfire elves was pretty ok I think... But I didn't enjoyed it also because all parts of S4 plot was about some located problems and conflicts and not about whole main plot... 

I believe I forgot some details that I was salty about but yeah.................

Viren was good, I liked all Viren parts, I loved his interractions with Terry, his is such a sweetie, also I loved part when he told Claudia that she was mean to Reyla and she listened to him TqT

Yes to everything you said. I wanted some action, I got a lame continuation that leads to the next no one knows how much seasons. I liked the opening. It was hot.

I feel the same way. It was slow compared to the other seasons and I'm hoping that when the 5th season comes out it flows better. Because the seasons are so short i feel it's harder to fit everything in it that you want to but combined with everything else it's not as unbearable? But that doesn't make up for the uncomfortable jokes (literally why the fart jokes it's so damn weird???) Or the awkward writing

I heard from my friend how bad it was, and I decided not to watch it. I gave it a lot of faith, after Voltron. And I'm disappointed that they did the same thing again, queer baiting and dumbing down intricate characters. I don't expect it to improve. But just like Voltron, I still look for artists who represent the characters how I remember them, which is where you come in. Thank you for that 🥰

I haven't finished the season yet but it does feel WAY more childish than the previous seasons, even with the topics of death and war. The fart jokes were so eye roll worthy.

Apparently there's a lot that happens in the in-between comic books. There's a lot covered in the comics that's not explained well in season 4. They go into depth about what happened with rayla and why she left.... But still .... The pacing wasnt the best and some of the choices in character portrayal was very off or bland.

It seems that there are comics, which if they were going to continue the story and connect the seasons that way, one would think that they would have advertised better. The fourth season was just all over the place without any real payout in my opinion. A lot of scenarios were predictable, but I can forgive that considering the age range of the intended audience and the fact that the tropes set up nicely. I’m very conflicted on the notion that in the previous seasons I liked Claudia, but it felt like they couldn’t quite peg her personality in this season. Yes, she’s becoming darker, yes, she’s trying to save her father, but she feels detached from her previous self and I think that if we knew what all she did to bring Viren back that would help explain that detachment. I’m just hoping that the writers listen and do better for the future seasons that we have left, which I think is two?

i didn't even know there were comics... also yes, agree with you about Claudia, I love her character a lot, but she acted not like herself this time...

As someone who has read the comics, even if you read them it doesn't excuse the pacing. Like as you say it's not that Rayla couldn't go home ??? In the comic about her relationship with Ethari and Runaan you can see how much they love her so it doesn't make sense Ethari wouldn't welcome her. The explanation was that she was obsessed with finding Viren when she found he wasn't exactly dead. I think they couldn't capture the essence of many characters? I was so mad about Rayla specially! I actually like her a lot, but suddenly she's like all blushy blushy with Callum and not adressing any of the issues TAT whyyyy. And it broke my heart how they always make Soren the joke and the less important friend. He had lots of personal growth!! And as you said I expected more about Aaravos :/. The thing I liked was seeing Viren struggles and him bonding with Terry lmao. I really really hope they make better the next season. I already experienced Voltron, I can't do it again.
