On a side note, I updated my Patreon description page to line up with my new goals for the comic and story line. I hope that makes it much clearer on what my intent with this comic is. I am not interested in making yet another smut comic that revolves completely around sex.

As the creator, I just NEED more out of this story to keep me invested in it. I know most of you are pretty on board with this direction but I just wanted to make it crystal clear so any future patrons were not disappointed that Rowena and gang weren't getting banged every other page.

Thank you guys for sticking with me so far and I hope I can make something great for you to read and invest your feelings and time into!

Very cool! I do love the story aspects. Honestly, hot as it is, seeing Rowena get plugged by monsters almost feels out of place now that we get to see her as an action heroine bad-ass. It's the weirdest damn thing, but I'd almost like it if those were kept to pin-ups, and the comic itself was her just kicking ass and looking beautiful doing it! ... and fucking the elf. And Bothria. And that lovely waitress. And wimpy men that she dwarfs in size. Okay, I'm still a dirty, dirty pervert, but I dig the story :)

I am so on board, I can feel the sea spray. Your stories can carry a lot of emotional weight, and I love that. I thought Mandy's tale packed a real punch. Besides, story-driven sex is much, much hotter ;) Keep it coming!

Yeah, I'd love that! PS you should totally post your regular art to Patreon as well, though. I totally didn't realize you'd been doing sketches AND sketch commissions, since you never post that stuff to HF! I never remember to check Tumblr, lol. I missed Chloe's anal adventure!

Hi Kumi, first of all I want to say that I - as every other here, I am sure - totally respect your artistic choices and the direction you want to give the comic. I'm sure that you will be able to maintain a good balance between smut moments and story-mode. I believe a character like Rowena isn't easy to portrait - give her too much "action" and she becomes a sex doll, good just for her breasts (wonderful as they are); put her in too deep a story and she may lose that simple, raw barbarian attitude that we (I for sure!) love her for. This would, sincerely, be my main concern, more than the lack of sex action (OK, that too; I'm an honest pervert here). I just love her fresh barbaric demeanor, that Red Sonja-like spirit she exudes. Sorry for rambling too much, and keep up the good work! ^_^

Hey Hirumono! No need to apologize for rambling. :) I definitely get the concern, but don't worry. I have already planned a healthy peppering of sex throughout the story when it doesn't feel out of place to add it. The biggest thing I'm really avoiding is having people expect every monster encounter to go down like the battle with demon lord Xanon in this chapter. I explained awhile ago why the first chapter might feel clunky and like it shifts in tone dramatically. It's cause it did! About 10 pages into me drawing this comic, I started questioning the kind of story I was making and originally wanted it to be light, silly, and completely smut oriented. Before I even made it, I was flip flopping on whether or not to make it completely a SFW adventure or pure smut. I thought maybe I couldn't do something in between because that's not what people expect of Rowena (who was heavily involved only in smut and silliness). Then there were heated discussions on the fact that Rowena loses "every time", as she typically does in my illustrations. That and my own desire to make something more meaningful is what made me decide I needed to change things and try my hardest to present a real story. One that can have sex in it but not have it as the motivator for things to happen. I guess you can think of it like Game of Thrones where things started out heavy with sex and nudity, but as the story gets more developed, the smut lightens up a bit and is mostly there to further plot. ANYWAY, I'm super glad I have some great fans like you and others who wanna see Rowena as more than just another sexy red head with sword. :D

Yeah, I've been sketching a lot these days between working on comic stuff! I never thought to post them individually on here as I got them done as well, but I can do so since I do realize now it can be hard to keep track of Tumblr updates, especially when you either don't use it or follow lots of active people.
