Art vs Artist 2022 (Patreon)

I discovered a love for drawing traditionally once again after many years of feeling inadequate about it.

Here’s to next year putting my focus more on patreon and the comic instead of getting distracted by commissions (it’s only hard cause I also love doing commissions from time to time!)

My husband was reading a book recently and he told me an interesting excerpt from it that I had never heard but absolutely love. The fox is good at many things, but master of none. Meanwhile the hedgehog is only good at one thing, curling up into a protective ball, but they are the best at it. Be a hedgehog.

From a business perspective, meaning to put all your focus on being good at one thing in particular instead of trying to do too many things just ok.

For me, I think I need to focus mainly on original comics. I’ve asked in polls before and from comments in general in the past and this seems to be what you all love from me most! Definitely understand as the whole reason I started drawing them was from a love of storytelling and also because I just couldn’t find enough comics I wanted to read in the fantasy genre and mature genre in general.

Anyway, here’s to an even more productive new year in 2023! 🎊
