Hello everyone!

The T-rex Articulated/Flexi Skeleton is now available, a representation of one of the most fascinating creatures from prehistoric times.

This model is a skeletal or fossil representation of the T-rex and includes variants of its upper jaw, specifically in the appearance of its eyes, allowing users to customize its look according to their preferences.

The new design uses the same mechanisms and assembly divisions as the previous model.

For assembly, it is recommended to use instant glue.

Before printing, please review the included "3D Printing Parameters" file in the download. Additionally, the download includes an assembly tutorial video.

I hope you enjoy the T-rex Articulated/Flexi Skeleton.

Looks funny with the eyes and I like it. I noticed a bit of bad overhang in the nose socket and some of the upper jaw teeth, maybe a bit of support for those areas would improve that. Which printer/filament are you using?

Is the difference in the 3 upper jaws just the eyes? I don't see anything else

OriginalToys3D

I'm glad you like it! For the body, I used an Ender 3, and for the upper jaw, a Bambu Lab A1 Mini. One of the machines I had broke down during the prototyping of this design, so I replaced it with the Bambu Lab.

Regarding the filament, I used a PLA from my country that I believe is not distributed internationally. The one in the main images is a PLA that simulates bone, and the PLA in the last image is Printalot Glow in the Dark.

Yes, the only differences are the eyes. I was suggested different types, which is why I made three variants. I was also working on a couple of legs with poses, but I couldn't include them due to one of my printers breaking down, which slowed the process until I could replace it. I focused on correcting all the errors in the structure of the design. I will update the model soon by adding more variant pieces.

I printed this today and holy crap it’s my favorite so far. What is the largest this will print and still function appropriately?

OriginalToys3D

I have been printing with the Bambu Mini, and the maximum size I have managed to print so far is 130%. However, since I used mechanisms similar to the previous T-rex, it should be possible to print it without issues up to 150%. In fact, a subscriber shared a print of the previous T-rex at 200%, so it seems there is considerable room to work with larger sizes.

This is the design that has me paying for a subscription!

What program do you use to model animals and dinosaurs?

OriginalToys3D

I use Blender3D to sculpt them and design the joints and mechanisms.
